First-time ISOM Trade (NEED HELP!)

I'm considering trading a few cigars for some that happen to be from that little island to the south of Miami, FL.

But just what is the ratio here? All I have to trade are non-ISOM, so how many of those adds up to an ISOM? Is it like 2-3 average-quality non-ISOM for 1 ISOM?

Right now, I've got some cigars I'm willing to trade. Which include...

4 Romeo y Julieta Cedro Deluxe #2
2 Punch Oscuro Rothschilde
Baccarat Casino Vintage Corona
National Brand Corona
National Brand Sungrown Coronoa
CAO Gold Corona
Cinco Vegas Torpedo
La Perla Habana Toro

So if anyone would like some of these cigars, and has a few ISOM they'd like to trade, then send me an email. If someone's already sent me an email by now, don't be discouraged, send me one, I want to get several offers here so I can kinda choose and establish just what the trade ratio is between non-ISOM/ISOM.

There are several hundreds of posts here on this forum a week -- and yours seem to be the only ones that seem to continually resort to language that seemingly no one else feels the need to use.

We all know the words; we know how to spell them; a lot of us were in the military and are able to easily out profane you every hour of every day of the week.

How about you get with the program and then we'll gladly talk about some excellent trades .....

or you may even find the generosity of this board to be that people just send samples to each other as brothers of the leaf. I don't think a lot of Habana smokers are lining up to sample your collection of National Cigar sticks.

No need to be an ass...oh wait, an "A-hole" about it, dockrs!

I'm new to all this. I thought MAYBE someone might be willing to trade a Cuban for a few non-ISOM premiums! Sorry for assuming, cigar police.

Anyway, to everyone else, offer still stands. If you have a Habana you're willing to let go of for any and/or all of these, let me know.

Ikon,
Attacking one of the most respected and generous veterans on this board is unlikely to gain you much respect with the rest of this group.

Apologize, proclaim ignorance and politely ask if you can try again.

I've been around just under a year and haven't had the audacity to ask for virtually free ISOMs. If you don't know how something is done, sometimes it is better to sit on the fence and watch in order to learn.

Please step back and review your position. First and foremost, dockrks is right!

He kindly asked for you to refrain from that language on "Our Board". As you stated yourself, you are new at this and there are many that are willing to guide those that wish to learn.

A kinder gentler approach will attrack more favorable attention!

However, if you attack docrks then you are attacking me to and I really don't feel like fightin' did enough of that in my life =)

Regards,

B

Alright

Sorry

I wasn't asking for freebies here, I was just seeing if anyone wanted a quality for quantity bid here, as in most or all of those average non-Cubans for a couple ISOMs. But if no one wants to, fine, no harm done, maybe it was just a stupid question to begin with, but it was worth a shot.

Nevermind

Apology accepted from my perspective.

We're all good (hate going into the weekend with a grudge). Too many folks lash out when told they've done wrong (recent Disle episode). Enjoy the weekend and hope your trade works out.

Yeah, sorry for blowing up there.

I don't think anyone's gonna go for this one. All I've got are just moderate quality ones right now, and the few high quality ones I have I've never tried and I'm loathe to part with.

Apology accepted bro - Thanks for understanding!

I am sure that you will acquire the right contacts for the Havana's that you seek with that approach =)

Ikon I thought your trade offer was fine. It never hurts to ask. There are quantity vs quality offers posted here regularly.

Ikon didn't ask for free cigars. He posted a valid trade request albeit with some questionable language. I agree that that language wasn't necessary. However, I also think that if you don't like someone's trade offer don't slam it.

I personally don't have any ISOMs so I can't help you out on this one.

I haven't even had an ISOM yet! I'll pop my Habana cherry this Saturday with a Cohiba Siglo III that's been in the humi for a few months.

I've just wanted to try them lately, and the only ISOMs I can obtain now are from my local tobacconist and they're of questionable origin (supposedly unbanded H. Upmann Corona Gordas). And from reading posts, it seems like near everyone has some Cubans stashed away.

I hate John F. Kennedy. This embargo's killing me!

I wish I did smithbw but I really don't.

Which gives me pause to think. A lot of people on this board ask for ISOMs. And some regular posters have a good reliable source. Would it be out of line to suggest that some people band together and do a box split or a couple of box splits of ISOMs?

Perhaps it isn't appropriate to suggest it on this board. But since cbid doesn't sell ISOMs I thought I'd give it a try. If this is not appropriate to suggest I apologize and cheerfully withdraw my suggestion.

Ahemmmm!

Guys...and E, we get carried away and use screen names, but for some we even use our real names. Something that's illegal could probably be best served if it was conducted "offline". There are search engines that will help you out.

Just don't want to see some "Men in Black" types popping up at your door with a matching set of bracelets.

Now what would be scarier?

If the feds came and put you in handcuffs...

OR if the feds came, busted down your door, and put you in FUZZY handcuffs!?
