I've seen this type of post at other BBs and I've never understood it - why say "for an item that costs $xx"? Just tell us what the heck you want to trade for - maybe someone already has it. If not, maybe someone likes what you're offering enough to go out and buy it - wherever they find it and at whatever price.

And since Slim hung up his black leather (or is it vinyl) LOD outfit, I'll point out that you shouldn't post competitors and their pricing, it's against the rules and just plain not nice to CBid (who is plenty nice to all of us).

OK, I'm done complaining.

lenny4z --- I didn't hang it up for good, I'm just letting it 'air' out a bit ...

... it's real leather, and was getting a little 'gamey' ... LOL!

But ... I'm confused. Even I didn't catch where he posted competitors and their pricing (besides the one that was in the name of the cigar, and who is a competitor) ... did I miss something?!?

Slim -
Originally, there were a few references to my friend Lew Rothman's establishment headquartered right here in NJ. Those references shouldn't have been there --- and now they're gone.

Rocky, sorry if I sounded a bit grouchy, I was just curious what it was you were looking for in return. I'm just over-tired and cranky today. It's great having a new baby, but it really cuts into your beauty rest - something I could never have enough of. Just be glad you're not my poor wife that has to deal with me all the time.

Slimboli, glad to hear you still have that leather outfit, it just looks so good on you ;) As for the competitor reference, yup, you missed something. He initially said you could get xxx cigars at xxx for xxx. Then he posted again and said actually you could get them for xxx. Apparently Gonz and the gang noticed it and did some ***yanking***. I don't think Rocky meant anything by it though, just an honest mistake.

Rockytop - An interesting post and a good thread with multiple actions taking place.

First things first, Welcome to Cbid! How about dropping an introduction? I think that I have noticed your handle on other boards as well.

You have good taste in gars and you are offering “Great sticks” in return. Your presence will enhance trading quality. I would normally jump on the offer but….My wife put me on a budget…Ouch!

Regards,

B
