Bad traders?

Don't want any fingers pointed, but has anyone ever run into a bad trade here? I've been amazed at the brother/sisterhood of the leaf, and was wondering if anyone has had a negative experience. The worst I've ever read is somone getting too many cigars and being jokingly upset about being undone and promising to send payback, fantastic atmosphere.

Now I just hope that 'lifesacatch22 is the worst trader i've ever even thought of dealing with' pops up on this thread.

The people trading on this board are FANTASTIC. In about 2 dozen trades - I have only had 1 which was a dud. Imagine a baseball player with that kind of batting average - 23 for 24 !!!!!!!

Trade On - the experience on this Board is almost sure to be a great one !

Andrew,
I have done quite a few trades in the past 6 months and the below incident is my only so called bad experience. Although it was not a trade a couple of us got caught by it!

There aren't too many bad trades. If you aren't familiar with a screen name, ask for comments. After that, well, you gotta take SOME chances. Keep the trade small.

Every trade I've had here has been a fantastic experience. I will trade again with everyone here should the opportunity arise. People here are more than generous and we all take care of each other when it comes to asking about information or simply someone we are just not sure about. If there is someone you are not sure about just ask someone else on the boards. To date, I've not had any problems nor know of anyone outside of the person above that has had any problems. And if you do have a problem, just work it out calmly and try to arrive at a viable solution before lambasing someone on the boards. I've not seen that happen here, and hopefully won't.

Good luck and get on the Trade board man!!!

One dud in about 6 trades. The trader was new and I chalked it up to his inexperience rather than say anything. It won't keep me from trading as these folks are usually generous to a fault and I like the surprises!

Every trade sucked. I keep having to break into my tupperware because my humidor won't hold the generosity. Try bringing soup to work in Saran wrap.

I think the length of the "Good Traders Thread" is a statement in itself! and it goes back over a year!

I have been trading for 6 or 7 months nows, have enjoyed every single one! AND at the same time, met some great folks!

It's really special...

In over two years on the board trading heavily, I have had only one bad experience.

The person (which I will not name) agreed to a trade with me without having his end of the trade. Six weeks later, I had to ask him again for my end which he eventually sent. I will point out that it was not the agreed to trade - Opus X's but it was close. So, I did not bust him out.

Moral Of the Story - Don't agree to the trade without having your end in your hands (or Humidor).

Glad I got that Off My Chest! =)

Over All - Everyone Here Is Great!

Regards,

B
