Family did a "stay"-cation this weekend, booked a room at one of the resorts in town with a waterslide and just hung out in vacation mode. Kids loved it, wife loved it, I loved it. It was exhausting, but the memories last forever... Back to real life tomorrow.

Was raining this morning. Stopped around 7am, so I got the dog walk in while it was cooler, relatively speaking...79 with 90% humidity. No sun, though... cloud cover was a relief.

Survived golf. Really pretty enjoyable driving a cart around from one shade tree to the next with the help of a few cold libations.

^Think that's nuts? I cut my grass at 4pm today. It was dry, and my neighbor cut his, so it looked weird.

70 zone minutes on the fitbit, sweated my nards off... and it just rained, so it was well timed. :)

Took a lukewarm shower, poured a Pliny... and sitting in the recliner with the fan on me.

That is really nutz, but you have RI blood in you, so I already knew you were off your rocker.

I mowed Friday afternoon when it was down to 112. After the sun had just set. I told my wife it wasn't too bad out while she administered the IV to me.

I just had to walk across a large parking lot to go from my office to the bank. Buzzards were circling overhead and I heard a crackling sound coming from my exposed skin.

Thought you installed artificial turf. Shouldn’t have to cut that very often…. Er, no?

Turf is only in the back yard. Still have to cut the front yard.

I do admit that doing things in this heat takes more out of me now than when I was a young buck. Even my morning 5 miler when it's over 90 slows my recovery.

Morning gents.

Going to feeli like I’m working in Shawn’s smoker today.

-Canadian wildfire smoke making the air unhealthy.
-90 degrees.
-High humidity.

Should be interesting to see how my Nordic blood, which is the consistency of tomato paste, pumps through the ticker.

Last time I tried to count how many cars I've owned I couldn't do it. Probably at least 40, 50+ if you count all registered things like trailers, campers, boats, motorcycles, scooters. 24 years since I bought my first one.

First vehicle I bought was when I was 14 I bought a rusty GMC S15 with a Ford v8 swap. Cracked in half the first time I jumped it over some railroad tracks.

Hell, since I've been on cbid I've had 6 Honda Civics, a Subaru Legacy, 4 pickups, 1 hyundai accent, 2 scooters, 1 moped, 3 motorcycles, 2 campers, 3 trailers, probably something I'm forgetting.
