I like bison more than steak! Leaner so less forgiving when you cook it though.

I do like bison better than beef. But I've had more bison steaks than beef steaks. Local bison farm used to be fairly cheap but now they've priced themselves out of my reach.

Got tickets to blue man group for the family for Christmas. Had to buy 4 seats to get decent seats, ticketmaster wont allow your purchase to leave a solo empty seat. Only $10 more than buying 3 though. I was ok with paying to have the empty seat but wife brought along one of my sisters kids. The boy's happy tho.

There was a bison farm in the area (maybe 30 min drive) that raised and sold bison meat as sort of farm stand thingy. The farm stand thingy shut down but I think they still raise bison but stopped selling it to the local population.

Local Wally World sells bison meat. Some steaks and and some ground meat. Pretty expensive though - $9 per lb for bison burger meat.

Yeah the local farm got me $13/lb for ground and $25/lb for ribeye last January. I asked why the price increase? Used to be $4/lb for ground and about $12 for ribeye. They said market price adjustment. I won't be back.

Kinda weird watching the Rose Bowl on January 2nd. After the great playoff games on Saturday and the NFL yesterday, forgot that there were a few more college games left.

Well, if it’s consolation, it’s only a 4 day work week. Right?

I sure hope so.

Apparently the tornado warnings are for my area, too. Hmmmm... sunny and 81 right now. Clear skies.

Nary a tornado... Think

Had plans to take down Christmas lights today since it's warm out.

Woke up at 1am had to puke. Then chit. Then both. Spent an hour sweating and puking and chitting. Cleaned up went back to bed woke up drenched in sweat and shivering. Fever 101. More double shooters. Finally emptied out around 0530.

Ate some dominos pizza last night different from my normal order and it wasn't great. Pretty sure that's what did me in - bad alfredo sauce or the fresh spinach.

2pm now. Feeling better, got some sleep, got some water down and finally kept it down.

Let's see if I can climb up and down my ladder 38x without crapping my pants.

Oooof... food poisoning. No bueno.

You gotta get lazy lights, Danm! The ones that stake into the ground and project onto the house. I got 3 different ones and one of them came with cartridges to change the projection. Pretty cool, actually... and much less of a pain in the arse than putting up and taking down lights.

Feeling better. Water still going straight through me and not in the way it's sposed to. Running clear enough for a colonoscopy. But at least it's not coming back up. Got a piece of bread in the toaster gonna see if I can handle that maybe a little honey too.

Boy didn't have my pizza, but ate some garlic twists a little after dinner that I threw in the box on top of my pizza when I cleared the table. It hit him around 0600. He's starting to keep some gatorade down now 12 hours later but still having mild fever.

Wife had the regular pepperoni pizza and one garlic twist before I put them in the spinach/Alfredo box so I'm 100% certain that was the source.

They were good when I was a kid. Of course, so was Little Ceasar's... and that crap they served in the cafeteria on Thursdays. I wasn't very picky as a kid when it came to pizza

It is all garbage, but among the pizzas you can get for $6-7 it's not awful and it's ready in 10 minutes.

I may not eat it again. Thinking about it while typing this all my brain can muster is to remind me of the smell of dominos vomit.

So got an e-mail from the IT job that I've been chasing. IT help desk grunt for the local schools and some work with other surrounding schools and some fire stations, police stations , EMT, town halls etc... that they have contracts with.

They want to hire me and make an offer. Conference call on Thurs morning to go through the hiring process and work out terms and conditions. Haven't talked about money and stuff yet, that will be the Thurs morning meeting and discussion. Nothing is set in stone just yet... we are now in the the negotiation stage.

Have another interview at 10 AM today for a Manuf, Engineering job too (playing both sides of an experienced engineer and a rookie IT guy). Passed the phone interview on this one, and now on to the face to face interview with the owner of the company and some engineering staff. They sound kinda desperate to fill the position and would like me to do some QC stuff too. 2nd interview on this one. We'll see how it pans out.

The engineer job would pay more but if I had the luxury of picking between the two, I'd pick the IT thing for a new challenge even if it pays less.

I'm keeping multiple irons in the fire on the job search and will pick the one that, hopefully, works best fro me.

Eight NINE!
