Another way to look at it: Lambeau Field is the greatest sports venue anywhere! Soldier Field has produced some memorable contests as well. No doubt It will be vastly improved next year, How can any yeam play well based in a place named Champaign? Damn frenchy frou-frou name. At least the Bears play on grass and in the weather. The Vikings play in a dome. How bad does that suck? The grass outdoor teams will always be better conditioned and more adaptable. Yes, I have been in a dome. Domes are for the faint of heart. So There!

Plabonte, You must be constipated from eating all of that packer-wacker cheese!LOL My posts, as I have clearly tried to convey, were all in fun and not personal. If I crossed the line and insulted you or any other cheese-head, I apologize! I do not apologize though, for being a true and loyal Chicago Bears fan and a true and loyal Packer hater! Even if the Pack win the Super Bowl this year, I will still hate them. That is what a pure-bread Chicago Bear fan is supposed to do! I am not at all insulted or upset at your comments as it is obvious that you are true and loyal to your team. This Bear-Packer rivalry is old news for me because I have two brother-in-laws who are avid fans of the green and gold. This debate is never-ending in our family and obviously will never end here at c-bid! That is why this this rivalry between the Bears and the Pack is the oldest and greatest in the NFL and maybe in all of sports! Take care and lighten up on the cheese!!! Da Coach

Plabonte and any other cheese-heads,On a side note, I will admit that Packer fans are much nicer and civilized than Bear fans! I went to the game up in Lambeau last year and could not have met a bunch of nicer people. Sure, people ragged on us but it was all in fun! I also tailgated and attended the Bears-Pack game at Soldier Field last year and witnessed some pretty uncivilized behavior on the part of Chicago fans toward Pack fans which was embarrasing. Maybe it was the big city mentality but there was no excuse for it!

I do believe we here in Green Bay try to go out of our way to make fans of the opposing team feel welcome. During the NFC Championship game against the Carolina Pathers, we had a "coat drive" for the Carolina fans that didn't think they had to bring a jacket to Wisconsin....in January. It was 12 degrees at kickoff.

When we(ten of us) went to the game last year, some of us stayed in a hotel a few blocks from Lambeau while my brother and his friends stayed in an older run down motel with a restaurant and bar. We met up at the motel with the bar and restaurant the night before the game for all you can eat prime rib night and to have a few beers and cigars before the big game. We had the best time. The owner and bartender at first was a liitle worried when he saw all of us Bear fans coming into his place but by 5am the next morning, we made some new friends and the Bear-Packer rivalry didn't matter! Of course, our wonderful hangover at the game was made that much worse with the Bears losing the Game. Best time I have had in a long time! I would hve traded my fancy hotel for the neighborhood motel in a heartbeat!

We truely are glad yo enjoyed your stay. Wisconsin really does have a false reputation for being "backwoods". We try to make up for it in hospitality. But I do miss the big city, I used to live in Milwaukee. I know it is certainly not Chicago, but I still miss it once in awhile. I used to live in the woods, now I am in the cornfield. I guess I have been around...lol.

I'm actually kind of mad because my band was supposed to play one of the Green Bay bars on November 30th which was the Saturday night before the Packer/Bear game. But our agent in his infinite wisdom cancelled the show and booked us in a different city. With smarts like that he MUST be from Ill-inois.

Ducati, what part of WI are you in? I live in West Bend which is about 1/2 hour N of Milwaukee.

I live 5 miles south of DePere, just 1 mile west of Hwy 41. Mr. Mean must be a Pro Wrestling fan.
