I, the true loyal Bears fan(despite a dissapointing season thus far) am still present! Go ahead! Let me have it, Packer-Wacker, as I can take it as well as dish it out. I hold true in my belief that the Pack still suck and always will suck!

Like Jim Brown, Walter will always be one of the greatest because he played football outdoors and on grass like it was meant to be played.

All I can say is: It must hurt deeply for your favorite team to be beaten repeatedly by a team that you think sucks. Looks like the Pack have the division well in hand. Go Packers! Go Brett Favre!

Can you take it, Todog?? I wouldn't dish it out if you hadn't been so rude to me earlier this year.

Ducati, when was I rude to you? You obviously cannot take it even with your Packerwackers having a good year. I even recall complementing Favre as great QB, unforunately he plays for that team that Forrest Gregg used to pretend to coach! I have nothing against you personally other than the fact that you are a Lombardi-lover Packer-fan! If being rude representative of being a true, loyal Chicago Bear fan, so be it. If you truly understand the Bear-Packer rivalry(the oldest in the NFL), than there shouldn't be a problem. If you don't, take your green and yellow ball home and eat some cheese!

Hey X, Which winning team did you pick to be your favorite this year? I am a Chicago Bear fan in good and bad years! If you understood the rivalry between the Bears and the Pack, you might see where I'm coming from. I think Brett Favre is one of the best if not the best QB's in the game. Unfortunately, he plays for the Pack! A true fan sticks with his team no matter what the circumstances!

Hey! I am from Sheboygan, Wisconsin. I've been a Packer fan forever. It was difficult in the 70's and 80's. I never wavered. Who will win the Superbowl? My answer every year is: The Packers! I like the way Urlacher plays. When he is a free agent he will undoubtedly sign with the pack.

CJ, Ducatti is right(Wow! A Pack fan is right! Let's call Ripley's!). Sweetness played the majority of his career on turf at Soldier Field. From 1971 to 1978, Soldier Field was natural grass and from 1978 to 1988, it was astroturf. It has been grass since 1988 and will remain grass in the newly renovated Soldier Field set to open in mid-season next year! It's amazing that Walter didn't suffer more injuries playing on that turf!

Wow X...I didn't know you were from Wisconsin! It's funny how our respective teams go in those win-loss cycles! It's supposed to be the Bears turn now! As for Urlacher, you have a better chance at wiing the lottery!LOL

I think the Super Bowl is wide open this year and the Pack have a shot as long as Favre stays healthy. His iron-man streak would have broke this week without the bye!

You Peckers and Bores fans have no class. We Eagle fans are courteous, loyal and helpful. Why I remember one time Santa Claus was on the sideline and didn't have any snow to get a running start for his sleigh so we in the stands threw some down to him while we yelled yoo yoo yoo ( Philadelphian for you the man ). Every team loves to play here because we treat their fans with love and respect especially Dullas and giant fans. JonR

Todog....maybe we got off on the wrong foot. I was hoping Urlacher fell in the draft so the Pack could pick him. I think he is a great linebacker. Lets let bygones be bygones....is that spelled right??

By the way, nice offensive performance against the "mighty" Vikings defense....

If the Packers did suck as you claim, and the Bears are doing worse then them then that means the Bears suck $hit!

By the way isn't this the time of year that bears hibernate?

By the way Topdog, there really isn't the feel (at least in my part of Wisconsin) of a Packer/Bear rivalry. We've switched to hating the Vikings. Its no fun hating a team that you consistently beat. If anything we only feel sorry for the Bears.

JonR, that respect you talk of in Phili must be limited to football. I was in Phili two years ago for game 7 of the playoffs between the 76ers and the Bucks. The LAST thing I was shown was respect.

Man! It's hard defending the Bears with the way they are playing but a TRUE fan sticks with his team no matter what! Packers still suck!!! Ducati...most of those "Green Bay Coaches came to the NFL by way of San Francisco and Bill Walsh(West Coast offense)...so please give credit where it is due! The Green Bay Packer Organization isn't responsible for producing some of the finest coaches in the NFL. As a matter of fact...you can have ****** Jauron back if you want him, Ray Rhodes too..LOL! Land O' Lakes Wisconsin while having that famous dairy name is located up in the Northwoods near Eagle River!

You are right todog! We should look to the Bears for fine coaching. Um how many super bowls has Wanstant (or however you spell his name) been to. And I'm talking about coaching and not sitting in the stands.

Actually, Dave Wannstedt went to the Super Bowl with the Dallas Cowboys in 1992. Did you know that Wannstedt was drafted by your Fudge-Packers back in 1974 as an offensive lineman? One thing you'll never here a Green Bay Packer Wacker say....."I'll take Shakespeare for a 1000 Alex"............!

He went as an assistant didn't he because he couldn't coach his way out of a pole shed with exit signs.

Another thing you won't hear a Packer fan say, "Well, looks like the bears finally beat us"

Gosh plabonte, don't be so bitchy! The thread was titled "ducati996"...so I opened it...and like I said before, I DO hate football, although I like ducati996.

Just an IMO thing as yours is...football takes up way too much everything from where I see it...just an observation.

And btw, I DIDN'T read it...LOL!

really...i've not won a f@#$%^^ thing but it's fun and you just need to win once to recoup anything you've sent out. Even if I don't win, hopefully there will be another pool to join.

E - whoever said I was nice?

Todog let me put it to you like this. If the Packers suck as you say why can't a team as "great" as the Bears beat them? Every time you say the Pack sucks means you are putting your own team down twice as much. Think about that before your next post.

Plaboner, Ducati996 and I were having a pleasant debate about the tremendous rivalry between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers. The debate was basically civil until you showed up like a typical packer-wacker gritting your one tooth! I stand by my beliefs that the Bears ar superior to the Pack and always will be! A true fan of any one team would understand this. Hell even if you grind your two brain cells long enough, you might understand since you an obvious, loyal fan of the green and gold. The won-loss records of our respective teams this year even if reversed should never have any bearing on a true fans loyalty. I respect the fact that you are loyal to your team so I would expect the same from you even if we still hate our opposing teams! In conclusion, The Pack still suck and always will suck!

Thanks Ducati for the nice words and I hope that all understand that every thread that I have posted was never personal and all in fun. I think that you and X and most everyone here understand loyalty to a team whether they are good or bad. It's not about Wisconsin or Illinois ...it's about the Bears and Packers which is the oldest rivalry in the NFL. The Packers have some great players that I wish were Chicago Bears but I still hate the Packers. Back in the 80's and early 90's when the Bears were superior to the Pack, I would hope that you and all Pack fans still stuck with your team and hated the Bears. That the way it's supposed to be and the way I feel today. I will always hate the Pack but respect a packer-wacker's loyalty!

Well todog, seeing as how you are posting on a public board I figure I have every right to but in. If that upsets you a) don't post on a public board or b) don't reply to my post.

Next I have no problem with you likeing the Bears. I like the Bears more then I like the Vikings. Loyalty to your team is great. My issue was that instead of saying what makes the Bears great and why you like them all your posts were about how much the Pakceres sucked. Being as the Packers are my choice of teams to route for I felt obligated to defend them. Why you might ask? No I don't get any money from them and are not affiliated with them. I just like a good debate. Which is what I thought we were having. A good clean fun debate. After all your original post says "Let me have it, Packer-Wacker, as I can take it as well as dish it out".

Obviously you can't do either. So I will now end this "what I thought was a friendly" debate as I don't want to cause any hard feelings and meant no ill will in the first place. I'll have to go find one of E-chicks posts and play Bitchy Devils Advocate with her for awhile. Until then see my post on Ducati's thread and let me know if you are interested.
