FYI - the hoyo ISOM I included is a Double Corona, not a double chateau. Not sure if it matters or not, but wanted to clarify...

goalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll!

The eagle has landed, and she is in pristine
& perfect shape. Rocco did a great job. Upon
opening the tupperdor the aroma of the cigars
seeped out and my tastebuds started dancing.
I'm skipping town right now and taking the
booty with me...on second thought I don't want
to get my a$$ kicked by the birthday boy, the
good doc.

I will be making my selections and will get
the box shipped out latest on Monday morning.

Hoagie55, will you be ready for a Saturday, but
most likely Monday shipment. Email me at
octowingsatmsn dotcom

I'll also be posting all of the shipping info,
as-well-as puts & takes on this thread.

Be watching the pic post. On Monday I'll post
a pick of all the wonderfull booty.

By looks of things, everyone's done a great,
job, especially you Roman.

I'll post more info. later!

Octo,

Email sent. I am ready, willing, and able to receive the box whenever you get a chance to send it.

Personally, I would keep it over the weekend so it doesn't sit around in a warehouse or truck an extra day and also to check out the humidity level.

Anxiously waiting and drooling,
Matt

OUTSTANDING !!!!

Just fired up the system after being away for most of the last day + and saw the news we've all waited for ----I assure you that all Brothers of the PASS are all delighted and relieved when that beautiful Eagle lands (Nice touch with the Gollllllllll call as well.)

I agree with Hoagie 55 --let the PASS rest for the weekend --we know you will give the contents an excellent place to stay..... Enjoy the visit and thanks for the great attention to detail in already contacting our next Bro. in line !!!

There will be a routing change in a few stops - but we'll get to that when the time comes...

octowings,
Good play on the selections! When you get around to trying that CAO 65th Anni, I would like to know your comments as I have not tried one.

I know it will be hard keeping that box of gold over the weekend without second guessing!! LOL

I should receive the box on Wednesday. I will hand the box over to Dan when we meet for a mini-herf on Friday.

I can't wait to get my hands on this box! You'll don't mind if I drool on the cigars do you? I promise to wipe them off before I hand them off to Dan! ;-)

I thought our mini-herf was going to be us SMOKING the whole box!? Oh yeah. Those mafia type guys will visit if we do that. I'll settle just to stare at the box all weekend, I guess.

I'll be in Florida from Monday to Thursday so not checking the board very often. I don't have a laptop. Matt knows how to reach me.

Nice play Octo --I hope one of your PUTS makes it back to me in Jersey as it is a stick I've been meaning to get around to....not likely...but I can hope..

I think it's GREAT that Hoagie 55 and JustDanD are getting together for a mini-herf --- really shows the "Spirit" of the PASS in action.

If only we could all be there to hand the PASS off and share the contents with Billy --- that would make this my best cigar experience ever...

**** ROUTING CHANGE NOTICE ****
1. Octo sends to Hoagie 55 (including all Paperwork - LOL)
2. Our 2 OHIO Bros. of the PASS (Hoagie and JustDanD) meet for mini-herf on Friday - (wish I was there as well)
3. Ohio sends off to Robby in Georgia !!!

Happy Sunday Robby -- You just shortened your wait time by at least a week.......Of course, there is a small charge for this super express processing service --but what's an extra Habana to all other PASS members (16 total) when you get to have your hands on this box a week before you anticipated..... if we take a vote -- I'm sure all the Brothers will agree it's the least you can do ....

Octowings -
Thanks for asking --- but --- part of the fun I am having with this is to follow the trail of the TAKES and PUTS ---for instance, I have been watching the Oneoff Perfecto - thought it would go a lot sooner as it is not that widely available or that well known.. I am pleased that a knowledgeable Bro. of the Leaf such as yourself did not let this stick get by him.

So - I will respectfully wait till the PASS ends - and then if the stick I am referring to is gone - I will be on that TRADE forum with a proposal for you ...

Thanks again for the kind words re the PASS.

Note to JustDanD -

In the words of Frank Sinatra, Crazy Joe Gallo, Joseph Bonano, John Gotti, Tony Soprano --there is no such thing as the Mafia !!

Please remember that before you invoke our name, I mean, their name, again - or Big Vito, Tony the Horse, Frankie Two-Times and "Don" Carlo may decide they need to make a special visit to see John Glenn's home state to make sure our PASS is safe !!!!

LOL at doc. I'm sooooo scared. Just remember, there are enough database geeks around to mess up your credit and get your house reposessed.

Gotta agree on the wait to see if the stick you want is still in the box. I've got my own spreadsheet tracking all the takes and puts. That's the whole fun.

It's all due to the Cosmic Powers associated with the Brotherhood of the PASS !

I will now use that Cosmic Force to block you from taking the stick I hinted to Octowings about and ensure that it makes it back to me !!!

Give in to the force Matt......Do Not Fight the Force !

Thank's for the kind words doc.

Package is set to ship in the
morning. Humidity is just fine.

Took a descent pic of just the
pass cigars earlier today. It
turned out o.k. Will post the
pic Monday. That way everyone
can see the pass cigars comin'
to 'em.

The package has been shipped Priority Insured to Hoagie. Tracking number is VC 321 894 173 US. I
know this looks like a strange tracking number, but
the postal worker behind the desk assured me that this
number can be used to track the package on-line. I
took him at his word, so my appologies if the number
does not work. I've never received a tracking number
like this one before.

My fingers are crossed! Please don't come down on me
if the number does not work, I put my trust in the
postal worker behind the desk. Gosh, I just know that
it's not going to work.

If there are any questions contact myself at:
octowingsat MSndoTc Om

O.K., the good news...I posted a pic of the pass
cigars on the pic-post as they leave me and head
for Hoagie.

Again, my appologies if the number does not work.
The postal worker assured me that it would. I don't
trust them. O.K., I'm going to strop stressing now.

The number still isn't working.

My appologies to the good doc
& everyone else.

I'm going to keep trying the
number though. The postal worker
said the package can be "Tracked"
on-line with those numbers. I've
used this postal worker before and
they've never given me any wrong
information. So, maybe their right.

But, if the number doesn't work...
I'll take all the slapping you all
can give me.

No excuses...I failed the pass.

Octo,

Take it easy on yourself! I have never had a post office tracking number work and I've been using via the post office now for 6+ years or so.

I use ther appropriate tracking number, but can never get it to track the package. It always says that there is no package with that tracking number and to try again.

So, take it easy!

Octowings:

According to the Regional Postal Dir in NYC - the package that starts with the Letters "VC" designates an Insured Package and is not a Tracking Number - which is why we can't pull it up on line.

Please don't allow yourself to think you have failed the PASS - that is certainly NOT THE CASE..

You are a well respected and knowledgeable friend and Brother of the Leaf !!! Period !!!

However, your local Postal Clerk is another story --the Tracking Number for a Delivery Confirmation is on a Lime Green Paper and is a 95 cent addl charge to the Postage. Seems like he needs some more learnin' on how to work the postal system.

I agree with Lowman -- I have faith the package will get to Ohio just fine and with all due speed...

Thanks for all your fine efforts ---- DocRKS

Thank you all very much for the kind words.

Should've known that the "Brethren of the Leaf"
wouldn't have come down on me.

Yea, the tracking numbers I've used before were
on the neon green tab. If I remember correctly
there is a bar code & the "Tracking" number is
directly below or above it.

See ya'll later, and to those who are left in
the pass it's all well worth it. I mean to get
that box in & go through it is great.

Now to the gazebo for the solo octo herf. I have
one every night.

I'm patiently waiting for the box myself. The mailman usually arrives around 3:00 PM. If he isn't here by 3:20 PM, I'll miss him. I wonder if they would leave the box on my stoop of will I have to pick it up at the post office.

You all can rest now, the eagle has landed.

The reason we could not track it is that it was only insured, there was no delivery confirmation nor a signature required.

We need to make sure that it has delivery confirmation from now on so everyone can track it if they want.

Octo, you need to go to your post office and tell that guy that the screwed up royally and worried you to death over nothing.
