RE-ROUTE NOTICE !!

Chris - unless you have as of now made arrangements with Charlie - pls send off the PASS ASAP to the Arizona Brothers - JSD1 and then it will go on to Deadeyedick. Both Jerry and Rick are leaving for Vacation and we don't want to chance the PASS sitting in Arizona baking away.

Deadeye wrote and said he and JSD1 have been in contact and have made arrangements to get the PASS in and out of Arizona expeditiously (as well as meet up with the outside contributor - Big Jim who has offered to add 2 sticks to the PASS.)

I feel this is our Best Move under the circumstances - everyone wins - our AZ Bros. get their pick before their vacation, the PASS keeps moving and Charlie can get it sent to him in CA after it leaves Scottsdale AZ.

Pls remember to post the TRACKING Number when you send it on to JSD1 .

Doc - I don't think I could put together a pass this masterfully. But I'll give it a go if everyone wants to go another round in a few months!!

Now I'm going to have to go buy a ton of ultra-premiums in order to be "pass ready" in the future... :)

Sorry, guys, but I have been a little lax in follow up, go ahead and pass me on this box pass, as I screwed up. First one, and I was not sure wheter Chris was going to email me or what. No hard feelings, enjoy, and I will work on the next one!

The "babies have been delivered and received" with open arms!!!!!!!!!! What a box pass! I've only been involved in two prior, but this is top notch first class all the way. Thank you Roman (docrks)!
I'll be calling Deadeye shortly after posting this to make arrangements to meet.

Here are my puts and takes:

Takes:_________________________Puts:
RyJ Ed Limitada 2001 robusto---Trinidad Fundadore
OpusX Perfexion #2-------------PAN 1926 #6
PAM '64 Imperial---------------CAO Odyssey
Don Carlos #2------------------Fuente 858 SG

If anyone has any objections; I will be absolutely swift in making anything acceptable for all.

As a side note, I took humidity measurements while I went to dinner. Came back and it never read over 57%. I've kept all color-coded bags intact but simply placed the color-coded bag in a box-sized humi-pouch. If there are any objections, Deadeye can remove them, but I felt this to be critical and now I have warm fuzzies all over. Enjoy gentlemen!

Way to go JD1,
Looks to me, like good takes and puts. Excellent idea to use the humipack, those things are great. If you know where I may purchase, a bunch of them, I need to send some smokes to the troops, and humipacks are great for that.

Just got back with the hand-off from JD1 and picking up the contributions from BigJim.

Jerry: Nice play and it was a pleasure to meet you. Like B said, I was eyeing that RyJ Limitada also. Have a great time on the fishing trip up north.

BigJim: Sorry we did not get to meet in person but I will put your 2 sticks in the box and please go ahead and post the information of your "puts" on this thread for all to see.

My 1st thought upon holding the box is that it's only a 2 1/2 hour drive to the Mexican border and I......um...... well...... ;)

I will make my decisions and post later today.

HOMEBREW! I will ship 1st thing Monday morning if you give me the go ahead.

Jerry -(jd1)

FANTASTIC Takes and Puts !!! That Habana Trinidad was for many years the most costly and rarest of current production Habanas - a real gem has been added to our PASS ...

And on behalf of all of us participating - thyank you sincerely for your help with the Humipacks --- I had the box PASS filled and waiting for 3 days with the humidification disks I put in - and it read 70 to 71 % RH for 53 hours (recorded with the Csonka hygrometer unit ) I guess it has something to do with that Arizona Sun --- anyway - we all owe you a well deserved Thank You for taking such excellent care of the PASS and the Speedy way you did the Hand off to Deadeye !!!!

GREAT Job jd1 --- Jerry, it was an honor and pleasure to have you participate in this PASS !!!!

Hey Homebrew Dave --- I hope you're ready - I've got a feeling that DeadeyeDick will be sending this rocket your way real soon !!!!

Hi,I'm sorry I wasn't able to personally hand off the sticks.
I entrusted my wife with the sticks and said a small prayer,
"Please don't smoke these on the way there"

When she called and said you gave me an AF cuban beli SG(class act,I owe you one) my prayer changed to,

"please don't smoke that on the way home"

You see I know why there are locks on humi's,if I keep her supplied in her flav.cigars she stays out of mine.

My contribution to the pass are:

1-RyJ Churchill 125 anniv.
1-RyJ Churchill - Habana

Thanx, Jim

Roman,
Point of order here. Should these two be labeled and added to respective catagories or "at large" ?

DED -

In reply to your Parliamentary Procedure Question - the 2 sticks given to the PASS by the Big Jim Family Hand-off (special thanks to Mrs. Big Jim for the help) - those 2 get added to their respective categories --- no "at large" sub-clauses on this PASS.

Whoever receives the PASS (including DED who now has it for the weekend) - these 2 Big Jim Cigars are fair game for all.

Big Jim - as promised - your "Cigar of Appreciation" will be heading down to you asap -- Thanks for your addition to making this PASS a special event for all involved !!

Rocco -

YOU can't wait !!! -- how do you think I feel being last in line waiting for this treasure to arrive back in Jersey ???

So far - this has gone better than I ever allowed myself to hope it would --- it's all about the Class and Caliber of the people involved -- and we have the Cream of the Trade Board participating in our PASS --- great news for all involved.
