Mornin' dudes... another warm day in Northeast Florida. Headed to 89 from the current of 65.

Walk the dog, wash my bits & pieces... and have lunch and a cigar with Corey.

Maybe try to squeeze in a trip to Home Depot to scout out the sunroom project. I'm thinking a bathroom "fart fan" with 80 CFM will be enough of an exhaust to keep that room clear of cigar smoke. Guess it would just depend on how many people are smoking cigars out there.

Cloudy and dry for now. Better get the pups out before the driz biz begins.

Mom’s having an mri on her arm. Learned yesterday she was picking up sticks on a side hill, lost her balance and rolled down to the bottom of the hill. She called her sister for help and told her not to tell my sister or me. Brick wall

What is a wispy thin, 81 year old woman, with balance issues doing picking up branches on a side hill?

Much like determining how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop- the world may never know.

NO! Don't do it. 80cfm is grossly insufficient.!!!

Your bathroom fan is probably just 100cfm- and I doubt it would have a chance clearing out an enclosed porch. Also, consider an ozone purifier.

Just sayin'

MACS, you could try it, but it likely won't be enough airflow for the room.

If you can run a little ducting (or it's there already), look at something with at least a few hundred CFM.

Found something on Amazon I think will work well. 176 cfm. The sunroom is 10 x 15 so 150 sq ft-ish. The issue is that I don't want it to move too much air out too quickly because the portable AC may not be able to keep it cool if it's sucking out all the cold air.

It's 10,000 BTU and can cool a much bigger room, of course... I think 800-1000 sq ft. But if I'm sucking out all the air each minute... will it keep up?

Finally got to meet Corey. Had some lunch and a couple drinks... smokers at the outside bar with cigarettes, but they send us cigar smokers out to the patio. Bastids.

Tried the old drive by bomb, but Corey was ready for the shenanigans, so it was more of a trade. Herfing

You wouldn't be exchanging the air every minute with a 176cfm fan. If you have 150 square feet of floor space and the ceiling is 8 feet high, that's 1200 cubic feet. You'd need a 1200 cfm fan to exchange the air once a minute.

Multiply sq.ft. by ceiling height to get cubic feet. 176cfm will exchange the air once every 7 minutes if the ceiling is average height.

Kinda of **** we had to sit in a total different area than cigarette smokers . Here at the hotel it is the same they have this little gazebo that sits outside by itself away from all the other tables . I can’t just bring my own drink I have to buy drinks from the freaking bar inside the building.

Awesome time with Macs and I was prepared I knew he would try a sneak attack.

Shawn, I've got two 190 cfm Panasonic Whisper exhaust fans in the man cave drop ceiling, installed above the recliners, ducted out through the wall just below the eaves. Very quiet, even with both on. One is enough to pull some smoke out when I'm smoking alone, but it still gets smoky. If there are two of us smoking, then both fans running will be OK, but it'll still be smoky in the room. Three smokers will overwhelm the fans and we have to prop the door open to clear the smoke.

If I had to do it over again, I'd go with two 390 cfm exhaust fans...and put up with some fan noise.

Copy that, sir... I'll go with the 10" fan instead of the 6"... it's 476 cfm. Still quiet. Likely quieter than the Portable AC unit, which isn't really loud.

Problem with that is you need to determine if it takes 220 or 221 so you'll need to read the label closely.

I ran into that a couple months ago (not with YouTube but with Paramount+, Hulu, Netflix) when my card expired and I didn't add the new card into the autobilling thing.

Just change payment method to your debit card or another active CC until the new CC arrives. It should be up and running in a no time then change it back to the new CC.

My streaming stuff is all on one CC so it's just a single bill to pay once a month rather then having them on different cards. Up side it it's all on one card with a single payment, downside is if the CC has expired then all the streaming channels stop streaming until you update the billing with the new card's expiration date and security code.

With a window unit A/C that size you’ll be blowing nice cold air in a smallish space. Clammy air and cigar smoke do not mix well. I think going with more exhaust would work out for you better considering everything. I think you’d be more comfortable and your room would be more pleasant with less green stuff growing in the window sills. That’s just my 2 cents. Hope you get an amazing result with what you decide on.

Morning, peoples. Commencing with 8hrs of corporate philosophy training, which is a repackaging of the previously existing philosophy, and therefore should not require a full time wasting 8hrs to fully train anybody on

You should be more respectful of corporate training. No doubt your corporate executivesspent many days at a corporate retreat playing golf, drinking etc, coming up with corporate mission statements and mottos. They returned to work refreshed and had some underling(s) translate (actually write) their ideas into something presentable.

Layabouts are imune to corporate training. Beer

Yep... 100% layabout status is great. Old habits die hard, though.. I am still early to bed, early to rise and more active than I was when working.

Walking that dog every day, hitting the gym 3-4 times a week and the yard work keeps me busy enough. Throw in the fishing more often is what I need to do.

I have a rewards card. I use it for damn near everything and pay it off at the end of the month. It's free money. I've got plane tickets with the rewards and i can even use it to pay my bill. Doesn't cost me a penny in interest because I pay it off each month. Had to pay $4000 with a check for the sunroom project the other day, so I lost out on that reward money. d'oh!

I think Fedex is dropping the new card today, so I will update everything. I don't like using the debit card because then I have to go in and write more stuff in the checking ledger.

I do the same with my rewards card for plane tickets. Just auto charge my streaming subscriptions and only have to pay one bill. Come to think of it, I should also do that with electricity, natural gas, and internet. Three less bills to coordinate and gain additional reward points along the way. Although the gas and internet are in my son's name so he can start building a credit rating but I don't think that they care who pays the bill as long as they get paid.

The other day he asked me if he should get a credit card and my answer was nope. He's 18 yrs old so he can do so without needing my approval but I remember when I was his age and got my first credit card. I didn't use it wisely and got in over my head so I had to dig myself out. Lesson learned as a college "adult" teen. That was before everyday internet where you can buy things online and get them delivered to your home in a couple days. Type in some numbers off the card at checkout and it magically appears for "free." At least until you get the CC bill. It's way easy to spend money these days.

When I told people I was gonna retire, almost everyone asked what I was gonna to do to keep myself busy. Well, between our two granddaughters, granddog, household chores, house and yard maintenance, there hasn't really been a moment when I could or would say, "Man, I ain't got nuthin' to do. I'mma bored." I often say I'mma busier now than when I was working full-time.

Still have interior and exterior painting to do too so once the weather gets drier, I'mma gonna hafta squeeze those in too. Never a dull moment. Not talking

I think it'll be good.

You will have seven minutes of smoke once it gets up and running. I think you need more cfm. I have a friend with a custom-built cigar room. I'll ask him.... But, have you ever complained a cigars shop your smoking in has too much ventilation?
