About 2 out of 3 times, when I reply to someone’s post, when I’m done typing, and then click the “Post” button……
nothing for 5-10 seconds….

Then a really nice message stating that my “network connection was lost”.
Oh, and everything I typed is lost as well.
It’s a great new feature of this site.
I really like it…

That is a great feature. Similar is the feature where if you move off a reply and then come back, anything typed is gone. Even trying to move from "quick reply" to "advanced reply" wipes out everything. Other forums I play on seem to save draft posts. The software on this forum seems a bit crippled.

I have forced a habit to copy anything I have typed before moving from "quick" to "advanced". I suppose you could "copy" before you submit post. At least you would only have to hit the "paste" button if you had to re-post

Just observations. I don't see the forum as a necessary part of CBid's existence, so I just appreciate that it's here at all.

I wish they had a search feature and a link on the lots in the “my orders” document over in the commercial side of this website.

I’ve noticed quite a few times I’ve had to hit “back” then try posting again.

I thought about texting Shana but I figured it was a new feature to make BOTL think about what they’re posting.

Jeebs if you choose to look back at your bid history as opposed to order history, it's a pretty quick way to scroll back through time. Identified as "won" or "lost" as well as the wins having the order number. Not quite the search you desire, but it works.

Thanks, Tiver. I’ve been trying to get dates on my sticks. I’ve been scrolling and scrolling and scrolling through the orders. I’ll try scrolling through the bids to see if that saves time.

That would be a major project if you put in as many bids as I do when I decide to make a big buy. I worry about the site going down when I have nearly 1000 bids in and get nervous at the possibility that I would win most of them and what that would cost. Fortunately I don't bid as much as I once did. I have a spreadsheet that lists data on all my buys that includes source, month of purchase and price. That spreadsheet only goes back about 10 years, but the order data on CBID now only goes back 2 years now so I only use the spreadsheet data.now. The days of picking up a bunch of bargains seems to have ended about 2 years ago.

I think I need to consider starting a spreadsheet. My current procedure is to date everything when it comes in. I’m going through my tuperdores now, looking up the transactions and putting the dates on them. I’ve put names and dates on all of the sticks I’ve received as gifts in the noob trades. I’m playing catch up but made very significant progress. Since last October I’ve purchased about 1400 cigars. At this point I’ve smoked an average of 3 a day so I don’t have 1400 cigars on hand. Approximately 1000. The vast majority I will never purchase again. My palate is getting quite the education though. That is my goal.
