Wife brought home some cabinets she wanted in the boys bathroom. Took care of that. But she still won't pick out cabinets and countertops for kitchen remodel.

Is she OK?
My wife would be all over that like stink on chit.

Lolz. No. No she ain't right.

She'll ask when I'm gonna do the kitchen. I tell her to pick out the things and that's the end of it. I've brought home paper catalogs from several cabinet makers and made suggestions she doesn't want wood texture doesn't want painted doesn't want glass. Countertops she doesn't want granite or natural stone, doesn't want composite doesn't want concrete and doesn't want to maintain butcher block.

When I did the bathroom she insisted on a custom color vanity top. I said let's just do white. It's a $300 difference. Got the custom one in and she had me go to the store and get the white one. So I paid $400 for the $80 one I suggested in the first place.

Happy Saturday folks. Hike in the nearby mountains and gym this morning. Football games in the afternoon. Annual art show called Canal Convergence in downtown Scottsdale this evening.

Carry on.

Domestic day. Typical weekly house cleaning and tidying up, do some laundry, pay the bills... Prolly (most likely) a nap. 44° outside with low 50's later.

Still have an old Dell tower a friend dropped off a few weeks ago that he had no use for. Maybe if I'm ambitious I'll see if it fires up and get it going. He's a design engineer at a previous company I worked for doing military stuff).

They were purging their old computers that have been sitting around in some backroom for a decade. Sticker says it has Windows Vista installed on it - that's garbage so it will need to be purged of that $hitty OS and get a new life.

It doesn't have WiFi so I'll just stick a WiFi dongle in it. My guess it it was probably used to do some SolidWorks or AutoCAD stuff back in the day. It has a PCI video card in it. All RAM slots are filled (looks like 8GB), 250 GB hard drive. Was probably top of the line back in the 2010's. I'll have to see when I fire it up and get a system diagnostics on it.

It might contain some top secret files and some info about Jonesy. ($hit... hopefully the censors aren't reading this).

Hello my dudes...

Walked the dog, and got some beef jerky cookin'...

I think I got the recipe down. 1/2 cup teryaki marinade, tablespoon of washyoursister sauce, tablespoon of soy sauce, granulated garlic, cayenne and red pepper flakes. Soak in that overnight and then dehydrate.

Also made some teriyaki chicken thighs yesterday... leftovers of that with some brown rice and veggies later.

Good Saturday Morning to All! It's a clear 57° on the way to 72° today, we could use a little more warm weather before our winter.

It's a mixed day, one DIL just graduated with a BS in nursing and is considering a path to Physician Assistant. On the somber side, our other DIL's sister has succumbed to her battle with the effects of Type 1 diabetes.

Mild day today. Low 50's.

Take Me to the Water

I should get me one of these big suits.

Prolly make some chicken breast wrapped in pig (bacon) along with watching the Packers. I predict a nap is on the to do list too.

By the way, don't forget to turn your clocks back an hour.
