Glenlivet Caribbean Cask - chipped ice in a double glass.

Been my go to for crock pot ham glazes...but hot damn if it don't do for the glass while gittin persnickety at It.

Old tub with ginger ale. It’s got a lot of funk to it but I don’t really like the flavor. I’ll finish it but won’t grab again. Makes a respectable drink with ginger ale though

Only if you consider he flew from GB to Jax to have a glass. Anxious

I chose Russell's Reserve 6 year rye today.

The cigar was epic. A 1920 something Padron.

It came free with the flight, or something like that.

AND it’s past 8:30 and still partying! 🥳. 🎉🎈🎊.

Or at least awake.

^^ love the four roses. Found the Russel’s single barrel you recommended Mac’s. Haven’t opened it yet. And thanks again to Z for that bottle of blantons you sent me man. I’m waiting on a good pal of mine to stop out. We are gonna have a good heavy drink or few of it.

Had some woodfard double oaked Saturday night. Recommend it if you have t tried it.

Exchange has that. Is it any good, and what should it cost?

Not a big fan, evidenced by the fact I bought it 8 years ago. It’s decent, but for some reason not in my wheelhouse. Since the Mrs got laid off and my work has slowed, I’ve been working on the bourbon I’ve had but not drinking.

Saving money for our Wyoming trip in two weeks!

TW has it for $65. I’d buy the RR single barrel

Four Roses Single Barrel, delicious.

Burner I’ve been tempted to grab Lagavulin recently….matter of fact yesterday when I grabbed this 4R they didn’t have any. May make a trip to another local for a bottle. I tend to only enjoy smoke/peat in the colder months.

Sagamore double oak rye

Wife came back from a work trip so I can have a drink again. Can't risk it when I am the only caregiver for the offspring.

MACS, you ever try the RR Single Barrel Barrel Select?

I need to get a gift for a client and was looking around for that one (mainly based on your liking the RRSB).

EDIT: NVM, its unobtainium around here...

I'm not aware of a Russell's Reserve Single Barrel Select. I just know of the RR Single barrel, The RR 10 year, the RR Single barrel Rye and the RR 6 year rye. I have each of them. What I really want is that RR blue bottle... the 13 year Barrel Proof.

Ah, OK. Any booze aged for 13 years is on my "wants" list. Here's the total wine page I was looking at:

https://www.totalwine.com/spirits/bourbon/small-batch-bourbon/russells-reserve-single-barrel-barrel-select-bourbon/p/135789750?s=1007&igrules=true

Seemed like a nice gift bottle.

^I've actually had that bottle! Got it at Total Wine when I was in CA, but it was sold as the "single barrel" so I only paid 50 something for it, IIRC. I do remember thinking "Huh, weird label".

I remember it because of the "tree".

Dayum, you got a nice deal on that one. Would it be worth the full price in your oppinion (assuming I can find it)? Other option for this is a Jefferson's Ocean.

Hell the RRSB regular bottle is better than Jefferson's Ocean. I honestly don't remember if the barrel select was any better than the regular... I thought it was the regular with a different label so I really didn't pay much attention. d'oh!

Jefferson Ocean is so hit or miss. I've great voyages and ones that I wouldn't give away.

I would agree. I have had the bottle for a while and decided to go ahead and give it a try. I may have a few more pours prior to putting it away until the fall.

I shared a pour of Bib and Tucker 6yo with my brother last night. Not bad, I would give it a try again.

Thanks MACS and Cheno. Like I said, it was a gift so I won't be able to report back, but I hope it's tasty.

I tried that a couple years ago at the recommendation of a Total Wine employee in CA. I did not care for it at all. Tried the Wolcott here in FL at the recommendation of a Total Wine employee... I ain't listening to those MF'ers any more.

Original makers mark
Wathens
Old grandad bonded. I like the 114 better but the bonded is very decent. I will not buy again but the 114 has a spot on my shelf

Wathens was the best last night. Drank a little too much last night but good times
