WOW! I got a steal. Wait until I tell all my friends about it and then I get to smoke it in front of them with both the bands on.

I hope I don't get sniped.

Glad to hear things are cool with you.

Been a busy year so far in my world.
All good though.
Enjoying the pumpkin ales, and evening cigars outside by the fire with the cooler evening weather.

I would very much like a sand shark if any of you are sitting on more than you need. I'm sure I could find something in the humi of interest.

Never seen the Sand Shark in person, do have a couple of Opus Sharks resting with their Anejo brothers.

I was looking for something different to smoke today and found a few of these that are now two years old in the Fuente humi. Very nice cigar but I think the original might be better.

Some history:

Cigar name: Cameroon Wrapped Añejo Shark No.77
A.K.A.: “Sand Shark”
Vitola: 5 5/8? x 54
Wrapper: Cameroon
Binder: unknown
Filler: Anejo blend
Released: 2006 @ CFC, 11/2006 via **comptitor**
Quantity: ~2,000 “Carlito’s Way” sampler

Notes: This cigar is identical to the regular release Añejo Shark No.77, except that it has a Cameroon wrapper in lieu of the normal Connecticut broadleaf maduro wrapper found on the Añejo line.

These cigars are made on occasion for Cigar Aficionado owner Marvin Shanken, because of his penchant for Cameroon wrapped cigars. The Shark was actually made and named because of Marvin Shanken (Cigar Aficionado owner). Carlito named it for him because he loved it so much when he gave it to him on a visit to his office. Thus he called it the Shanken Shark.

The “No.77? designation comes not from the ring gauge of this cigar, as it does for the other cigars in the Añejo line, but rather from a more amusing reason altogether. Carlito took his kids to Sea World in Orlando, FL, and there noticed that some of the sharks in the tank had two pectoral fins, which looked sort of like two 7’s.

This cigar was also released in November, 2006 as part of the Carlito’s Way sampler.

Guys, when I posted this I went with "Sand" Shark instead of "Sand Shark" as a little picture humor. For all who look at this the box of "Sharks" in the pic are the regular maduro ones and not the true "Sand Shark." As with everyone else, I wish I had them also. Sorry if I mislead anyone as that was not my intention.

I think dkeage mentioned he had smoked a few and it's a good smoke. Really curious what the cameroon wrapper does to this stick. Really wish I got a time machine to get that carlito's way sampler.

I did back when they came out. Not a big Cameroon fan, but I like the 77 vitola a lot.
