Hey CJBully ! I bet it was a blast! Too bad what they did to the Marlins after they won. They took the whole team apart.Roxy is hanging in there! I'll post a cute pic of us again soon.Magnafide

What a great series! I don't think any other team could have done better.

Some good baseball played during some very entertaining games ... tough-luck ending for us Giant fans ... I even tried wearing my old NYGiant cap to bring 'em luck (thinking that was the cap THEY wore when they last won the Series), but it didn't quite make it ... thinking of what an old silk top hat did for Frosty the Snowman, it SEEMED like a good idea, but .... oh, well ... what the hell?

Next year, Dusty 'll be gone to Seattle, Jeff Kent will be gone goodness knows where, all the geriatrics who're still here will be another year older and a step slower and who knows what a change in managers will do to King Barry ...

a new skipper might think that the "greatest player of all time" doesn't NEED his own seperate shower, his own quadruple sized locker with his own Barcalounger in it and might think he oughta ride on the bus with the rest of the players instead of on the coaches bus ... perhaps the new manager will think the "greatest player of all time" should leg out balls hit to the infield and needs a little work on his very mediocre fielding skills if he's to be considered the "greatest" ... oh, THAT will be a change!! ... and what if Mr Sulky/Pouty "greatest of all time" were to develop an "attitude"? ... oh, wait ... guess THAT aspect of the Giants won't change much no matter what ...

The Angels are young, well managed and have some damn fine fundamentals ... they'll be back ... it's a long off-season followed by a long season 'til the next Series, but I'm thinking maybe we'll see Angels/Cards ... that'd be some good ball too ...

I'm National League all the way, so of course I was hollerin' for the Giants...my wuss of a husband had to vote for the underdog...sparks were flying in our household...and unfortunately...his team won out...

But Magnafide, that's a damn fine picture! You should post more often ;)

BTW, there's nothin' like actually being at the big show, is there!?

My family will never forget the feel and excitement of the '98 Playoffs with my San Diego Padres rising as the NL Champs and the World Series versus them damned Yankees...

It was refreshing to see two "new" baseball teams in the World Series this year! It would have been nice for Barry Grumpy Bonds to finally get a ring but you have to be happy for the Angels!!!!

finally found a miniscule flaw in Marla (national league?)....
was kinda fun to see a franchise win that hasn't done the big dance in 42 years though.

I like the gear!!! The Giants were formidable and classy opponents. The rally monkey just got the better of them in the 6th game, and momentum lost them the 7th. GO ANGELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
