I just downloaded an internet radio, and am digging it.
Blues Folk Funk Jazz Bluegrass country, with no commercials.
Costs me about $6 a month, but to me it is worth it. I run the sound from my pc through my house stereo, so I can record some tapes for my commute.
Alot better than commercial radio.

Does it work with dial-up? That's all we have out here in the sticks.

Yep Rick,
Thats the link.
I am really enjoying it. I am not sure if it will work with dialup. I just discovered it, and I have had broadband for 2 weeks now. But I can listen to any type of music, or talk radio I want, while I peruse the forums.
Have a great Day.

Ok... So I take it you've never heard of winamp? http://www.winamp.com download the "FREE" winamp 5.02 Click on Internet Radio and enjoy thousands of internet streams for free. Non stop 24/7 every genre you can think of and some you cant. And yes it's dial up friendly with feeds from 320 to 8 kbps. And if you want to access all this music and keep it easy to integrate with your home system look into a linksys media extender. http://www.linksys.com/extend/whatitcando.asp

iRadio is a program that will allow you to record straight off the net any stream you hear and will allow you to burn it to CD. http://www.3alab.com/iradio.shtml

If you are of the try before you buy type you could always check out http://www.astalavista.com for a hack crack or serial number. Just make sure you have a good pop-up-stopper before you do.
