On the S&W issue, I will say they caved in. The Feds directly made them do nothing. Indirectly, yes there was a great deal of preasure placed on S&W. From a business perspective, I can see why they agreed to BATF and other Fed regulations. From a bias gun owners view, S&W just fell to there ass kissing knees. Futher more, S&W did not exempt them selves from suites that may be filed at later dates. S&W could have stood their ground like other companies like Glock and Ruger. I believe 7 gun manufactures have joined together to file suit against the Feds for infringing on the free trade act. This can all be verified by articles in Newsweek, USA Today, and various other publications. As a gun owner and a competitive shooter, I have sold all S&W guns I owned, and will not purchase anything related to that company. This is a action shared with many of my shooting friends.
