I try to stay out of these thing, but I think its worth mentioning here and may help clear up some of the drama, especially for Taps, who I believe is trying to improve.
When you have a list full of unicorns/htf/barely make the cut cigars on a pib, even if you add some easier/cheaper stuff, it scares people away. We all want to be able to help each other out and give better than we receive. For that reason, most will shy away from a pib, if the only cigars they have on the list are the easy to find/ medium range sticks, out of a list full of other stuff. When you list the high end items, to the brothers here you are stating that you should receive at least something from that end. While what is being done with the unicorn lists is "within" the rules, they kind of miss the point.
For example on a non-elitist pib, list 1 or 2 HTF's and balance the rest of the list with easier smokes you would like to try. Its really not about what is given or received, its about the fellowship. As long as everyone gives as well as or better than they hope to receive, it all works out in the end.
Ok, I'll get off my soapbox, cause apparently, I sound old when I get all preachy and stuff.
Resume normal noob bashing.
