I heard if you have a dry cigar you can soak it in water and it will come back to life. Good tip for kn00bs who aren't in the know. |

I think I can agree with that. Living down here in the tropics in Micronesia about as far down as Panama. I hate the cold.... well, unless we're talking snow skiing... and I haven't done that in about a million years! |

well, the cigars may taste better in a humid climate, but I don't tolerate humidity all that well ... being a child of the west, I was built for a dry clime ... I'm OK up to about 60rh, but get seriously uncomfy when the rh is in the upper 70s or more ... |

I find cigars coming out of the humidor at 65% to smoke like crap when the relative humidity is high...
Same for my briars...
Overly moist and acrid...

Agreed Steve, which is why I will be carrying a hand or bath towel everywhere I go while in Granada, Nic. next week while sweating profusely!!!! But the cigars will be tasting great and the Rum and Bourbon will flow just the same.  |

Lived in dry climates and humid climates. Dry is preferable, however... I would sacrifice a little comfort for a better standard of living. |

+1 for not liking the humidity. Things stick in places they shouldn't and are just plain uncomfortable.
When it get's hot and humid out, I'll stay in my temp. controlled smoke room, where it's most always a balmy 63* and 50% RH or less. Much better smoking experience imo.

I agree with the humid talk. Just got back from St. Maatren. Even the Rocky Patels tasted better in the beach arena. |
