NOOB TRADE THREAD #45
351. Author: jackal98Date: Wed, 6/15/2016, 4:20PM EST
Hello, I hope all is well.

New cigar guy in Dallas, Texas. I thought cigars were going to be a small hobby...now it's become almost like a part time job attending the cigar events around town, keeping up with new cigars and working on finding an humidor.

I started with samplers from various manufacturers and the cheap lighters near the register.
Now I have nearly a fourth of the Xikar lighter on their site and carry a travel humidor from Grammworks to work.

I started with Connecticut wrapped cigars but after a few months, I moved onto medium blends and now I smoke all cigars except flavor infused cigars.

Side note:
As soon as I get into a hobby, the government wants to regulate something so small as cigars and e-cigs.
I can think of a few dozen things other than cigars the government can regulate.
I have signed all of the petitions I can sign and contacted my congresspersons.

Vets, bring thus back
373. Author: stinger88Date: Thu, 4/13/2017, 12:35PM EST
Let's see what response there is out there, maybe we can kick this off again.

So, if you have a few months under your belt on here, are an active poster, have done a minimum of 2 verifiable trades, and want to be paired with a FOG.....put your name on here.

Once we get a few names, I can put the call out and see if there are any FOGs willing to "sponsor" a noob.

Hello David, I'm Rick......I'd be interested in this "sponsorship"..........sounds like a lot of fun. I've seen posts about vets and their n00bs and I wondered what it was all about. Count me in
376. Author: NapalmMan67Date: Thu, 4/13/2017, 4:12PM EST
Be forewarned if you get FGM as your vet... he left me at a truck stop in Tuscaloosa one cold and rainy night in the care of a one eyed, club footed, transvestite, heroin addicted hooker named Suicide Sally... and I never saw him again.

Decades later I still have nightmares.

And I heard he's getting ready for some shindig in the swamp and might be busy.

I will look at your activity and trades, then I will put up a noobs available post. After that I will see what I can do about shaking down some Vets.

Trades in progress:

None as of now

Noobs in waiting:

NapalmMan67 (he was on the list before and not picked up before the wheels fell off of this)
abjd14
RMAN
Hank_The_Tank
(Golden, I am not officially putting you on here just yet since you don't have the required number of completed trades...that I could find)

Available Vets: Need some vets to step up. I know since the last time this was active there have been some guys that should officially be "Vets" now. If you are not sure, just ask. Feel free to PM me if you don't want to jump right in on the thread. I will assign you a noob.

This was a pretty fun "program" that builds some ties that seem to hang on. My stable of noobs have almost all stayed reasonably active on the boards and I think are standup citizens of this virtual community.Applause Applause Applause

NapalmMan67 shoot shaun341 a message. The standard was that you get a feel for what he would like and do your best sending him a package. Shaun will then respond that he received the package (it is up to him if he wants to post what he has received). Then he will send return fire.

Good luck fellas.

BlueDude are you looking to pick up a noob?
391. Author: shaun341Date: Fri, 4/14/2017, 8:51PM EST
Give me another one to go with NapalmMan. I have a feeling Napalm is on the same level as me.
