Haven't smoked a ton of them, but can't say I've come across any large stems in the ones I've had. Padron tends to be decent with the QC stuff. Mebbe you're particularly unlucky? |

I've been seeing a lot of posts on reddit and discord with people saying they got plugged or stemmy Padrons recently. Something might be up. I got a box coming once the high place by ded restocks (backordered) and hopefully I don't have any issues. |

I had a 50th Anni last summer and it was the same thing. 4 big stems in it, and my deep V had trouble getting through the cut.
Stems that are 1/16-1/8" in diameter. Bizarre |

I’mma either numb and dumb and never noticed (…highly probable…) or I’ve been super lucky and never had any (…noticeable…) stems in my Anniversary PAMs and PANs. Gonna hafta pay attention next time I ash them up. |

I've had a few Padron's now... a few 3000, and few 4000 and thought they were both great. I haven't had any issues wtih stems but will keep that in the back of my mind... I've had a few other Brands, that had big stems in them (dont remember the names now) and they're a little aggreavating, makes me want to grab a pair of pliers and pull the damn thing out of there! haha |

The Buenavista cigar of 2012 was of Mexican origin and of extremely low quality Mexican tobacco. It's why the manufacturer folded! The current release of the Buenavista EL is Nicaraguan blended by Raymond Pages, who is Abdel J. Fernanez brother-in-law. They're rolled at Ray's Nicaraguan factory, Pages Tabacalera. Pages is only 26-years-old and for several years of his young life was, along with AJF, the primary blender of AJF cigars. I haven't really smoked enough of Pages' stuff (that I know of) to form an opinion on him, but AJF is a master of his craft and I'm sure Raymond learned a great deal from him. |
