What’s the buzz?
La Colmena (literally, “the beehive”) is very special indeed. You see, in Cuba, highly skilled rollers are often tasked with constructing their own personal cigar. These bundles are sold unbanded, adding to the mysterious nature, but one thing remains the same for each: it’s always rolled by that one specific person. This release from Warped Cigars follows along in this time-honored tradition.
Two rollers have taken on this project, and each is limited to rolling just 100 cigars per day. Common in Cuba but rare elsewhere, this is a very exclusive, highly unique concept in cigars. A gorgeous Ecuadorian Deflorada wrapper encases a mix of Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers and a double binder combo from Ecuador. Each is then finished off with a pigtail cap. Notes of pepper and sweetness combine on the palate, for a dee-lish experience from tip to foot. Have first grabs at a totally one-of-a-kind cigar with La Colmena.
