Boxes.....seriously!

Unless you 'know someone' or 'win' the opportunity to purchase a bottle or two at retail price, be prepared to spend 3-4x retail for a bottle on the secondary market. It's good. Very good. But there are other excellent bourbons that are just as good, or better and can be purchased at retail price. The mystique has been created due the extremely limited availability.

I told my boss I was very limited in hopes my value would go up like Pappy...waiting to hear back

Never had any to know, probably never will. As with cigars, taste is subjective.

I was suckered in to believing ETL was one of the best things on earth in the bourbon world... Was I ever fooled.

I'm pretty sure someone had a good post on here about them previously. I've never smoked one. Drew Estates products seem to be polarizing. The PVW Cigars are not aged/fermented/cured/whatever with pappy van winkle whiskey or pappy van winkle barrels. The use some amount of DE fire cured tobacco and the wrappers are aged/fermented in some sort of barrel. The blend was made by DE to accompany PVW and pair well. I can only imagine you are paying for the name.

I don't recall reading a positive review of these anywhere from anyone I trusted.

I don't like kentucky fire cured and I have not enjoyed any infused or barrel fermented/aged/whatever cigars. I would try one if it was given to me. I would not buy.

You were not suckered or fooled, your tastes are different. What did you not like about ETL?

Do you like any of the following: Ancient Age, Rockhill Farms, Hancock Reserve, Blanton's?

I'll happily dispose of any unwanted ETL for you.

As if. He's talking about the quarterly performance reports when Drafter lets him out of the gimp suit and cage.

What did you not like about ETL? Tasted like musty mold. Same with Makers, albeit a weaker version.

Do you like any of the following: Ancient Age, Rockhill Farms, Hancock Reserve, Blanton's? Never had any of them.

I'll happily dispose of any unwanted ETL for you. Sorry, gifted all away already.

Pappy Pappy Pappy, whole lotta hype. I've had it a couple times and it's good, can't remember the age statement.
Soft, gentle, sweet, wheated style.
You know Buffalo Trace makes it right?
Try Weller Special Reserve, also made by Buffalo Trace in the same style. Waaaaaay cheaper, like 27$.
They do a 12 year and a high proof version as well.

Aaah I see now, you were talking about the cigars, not the whiskey.
