This is NOT directed @ anyone in particular...just @ the whole ridiculous situation!!!!!!!!!

While I have always tried to support the OPfth as much as possible this post really struck a CORD. We should begin a letter writing campaign to the Feds....asking them WHY we seem to have the financial where with all to support deadbeats...convicts in our prisons...and MILLIONS OF ILLEGAL INVADERS not to mention foreign governments who also don't deserve it...and finding studies like why the gnat doesn't fly south for the winter.....

BUT WE APPARENTLY AREN'T WILLING TO SPEND THE NECESSARY $$$$ TO PROPERLY SUPPORT OUR DEPLOYED TROOPS WITH THE VERY NECESSARY ITEMS THEY NEED. LET'S JUST KEEP GOING BACK TO THE HARDWORKING PRIVATE SECTOR TAXPAYERS TO PIMP THEM FOR MORE!!!!!!!! ALL THE WHILE THE WEALTHY INVEST AND GET RICH OFF THE MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX....

It makes me sad to see a list like that. Our troops deserve so much better. It is shameful that they do not have enough necessities like sox.

Wtf, donation request for tactical boots? That is bull****, I get the US has a huge trade deficit but damn we can fund our boys out there enough to have combat boots. This is an embarrassment to both the military and our nation. How do they not have enough boots?

Beth.
There are some things on that list that is illegal to ship over sea and that list needs to be brought down.
Stick to the list that is available on the web site and we will be fine.
Just need to be careful.

Mount on Flashlight (2) http://uspatriottactical.com/surefire-x300-ultra-weaponlight-black/

That's one. Individuals can not export these items. Its the law. Its to keep them out of our enemy's hands.

All: I just posted what was requested by the Chaplain. I ship cigars, and I know the requirements around that - I have no idea what is, or is not (or is wrongly thought to be) illegal to ship. If we were supposed to keep things out of the enemy hands, we couldn't send anything, including troops and weapons, so I'm not sure I really follow that reasoning. That doesn't mean you're wrong, it just sounds odd to me. That being said, I took down the request for the flashlights, just in case that's really true.

I'm just passing this request along - so please, if you have any concerns, research it yourself and don't send anything that isn't supposed to be sent.

I think it's awful that someone who is in combat feels like they need to ask for combat boots. It's beyond my financial ability to send this other stuff.

As always, if you want to get cigars to the troops, you can send them to me and I'll send them right over. I have way more requests for cigars than I can keep up with, but I do my best. Thanks! -B

Some products fall under the EAR or ITAR regs. and are banned from export to certain locations/persons.

Here's some light reading on some items... https://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/text-idx?SID=86008bdffd1fb2e79cc5df41a180750a&node=22:1.0.1.13.58&rgn=div5

EAR and ITAR items can be traveled with on official orders/duty/contract (did it) but there is lots of compliance issues and accountability. One screw up and it's much more than you want to mess with. Even "information" that isn't classified can fall under ITAR-when I taught counter-IED to US military units in Japan and Germany, even going to those countries I had to have ITAR waivers since it was international travel and our unclassified curriculum still met some ITAR rules.

So just send them socks, baby wipes and cigars...oh and good coffee!
