It's tough at 60 now....getting up and in and out...I only go in if it's really choice $$$ reselling merch....
I've been DUMPSTER DIVING and TRASH day picking since I was in elementary school....
Now it's more a necessity to make money though....
The KMART here in town just closed...
THEY ARE LITERALLY THROWING away EVERYTHING
THAT'S LEFT , after a 6 week sell off
Into the DUMPSTER...( not food, clothing or inventory) BUT EVERYTHING ELSE!!!
I have gotten tons of computer wires, printer wires, phone wires, phones, totes, bins, odd pieces of copper wire that sell for .60 cents a pound,
Aluminum "anything" goes at .35 cents a pound, +++
Office supplies, scissors, pens, pencils, tape, cash register thermal tapes>> 2 boxes of 50 with
Staples box and shipping reciepts at $89.95 each box <<$200, chairs, racks...
It is amazing that the store closers didnt take the stuff I got?
How stupid can you be...
I'll make $500-750++ C.A.S.H. off those idiots...
Which is pure profit, except for time and sitting at flea mkts...
THOSE DUMB KMART EMPLOYEES COULDA'
Beat me to it...
And...last week I dove into a RICH NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE REMODEL DUMPSTER...which was a
"Gold mine"...$100's of dollars of new stuff...still in new boxes, electronics, a 10K carat gold H.S.lady's ring- got $60 bucks at the
Gold buyer's coin store...first edition books, new aluminum baseball bats, new hockey sticks, hockey puks,
Too bad I didn't check it sooner...PROLLY picked over before I got there...
Some guy I saw on YOUTUBE WENT TO a garage sale and found an old smallish wooden box of
antique glass photo negatives...
$50 on the tag, he talked the garage sale guy down to $25...turns out...
They are one of the few things that made it through ANSEL ADAMS PHOTO STUDIO FIRE...after authentication...
Valued at $220+ MILLION !!!
