The Senate has rules. One of which states that a Senator cannot disparage another Senator. Warren breaks that rule and is warned. She breaks it again and is told to take her seat.

Boo hoo!

so to discourage/prevent open discussion, simply nominate a senator?
makes sense.

It actually started by her reading disparaging comments made by Ted Kennedy. She was then warned that she was violating Rule 9. Then she tried to read Corretta Kings letter. Basically, she tried to disguise disparaging Sessions by reading someone else's words. IMO she knew exactly what she was doing. Her poll numbers have been falling for a while. It appears she was trying to paint herself as a victim to raise her political stock.

Yep, those Dems sure do get forgetful when it comes to folk's names....perhaps if they were more concerned with " getting it right " vs SH*T slinging...I dunno mebbe

Yes her and her Ilk use race to divide and when they DO try to attempt to use it ti their advantage...they even screw that up.

No violation of rule 19 when a man talks about killing another man on the Senate floor and it would be OK, as Graham did to Cruz. Always the villain in the Senate, Cruz accused McConnell of uttering falsehoods and lying...no censure or rule 19 violation. Depends on the violator's letter in front of the name, D or R...

AL the rule is the rule, but honestly doesn't bother me when it's in party bickering instead of political grandstanding.

First I've heard of anyone from the left isle caring about Republicant bickering.

Never thought much of two wrongs making a right. I don't condone that type of behavior you mentioned, but it akin to arguing it's ok to murder because you didn't charge Joe behind the tree when he kilt someone before.

I for one was truly offended by what she was saying about sessions... it was terrible terrible terrible and needed to stop. The fact someone murdered before and got away with it does not mean it's ok for her to murder (and use those hurtful words) now.... but the dude next to her can murder tomorrow... thats ok

It's absolutely ridiculous that the Dems are using mac time on all the nominations. It's nothing but grandstanding. Warren wanted to call him a bigot and every other name she could think of, but knew it wouldn't be allowed so she tried to slip it the back door. Since she couldn't get away with on the senate floor she did it on Twitter.

She was doing all for a Presidential run that will never happen now. All they have to do is look at her native American ancestory...GAME OVER MAN...GAME OVER.

Another Hillary DNC causality!

I don't love Trump. In fact, I cringe everytime I read one of his tweets. But, I very much do love the fact that he wants change the way our government does business.

Actually I prefer intelligent discourse. Unfortunately, not everyone is capable of engaging in such. Perhaps, some people would do better conversing with the folks whom they share the underside of the same bridge.

If you prefer intelligent discourse it makes no sense that you would support trump. Have you followed his method of "intelligent discourse "... it's bs piled on more bs with a "sad" at the end... all in 140 characters.

So because I support what he's trying to do I'm not intelligent?

Think

If he can't say it in 140characters he has no interest.

He has consistently contradicted known and recorded facts (some literally recorded).. and when called on it just gets belligerent and claims people are being haters.

I don't disagree with this. But, separate the substance from the chafe. If he weren't such an ogre would you back him?

Unknown.
If he weren't an ogre but still doing the things he's doing? No.
But I would assume that if he were more intelligent than he is he wouldn't be doing what he is doing.

His actions exhibit no coherent thought behind them. I would never support them as they currently stand.

Rule 19 was implemented in 1902 to ensure civility on the Senate floor after two senators got into a fist fight after an argument. Both men were from the same party. I don't care about people from either aisle bickering among or between themselves. I brought up the previous uncivil incidents as examples of past, and more egregious, behavior that didn't cause a 19 violation. Just pointing out apparent inconsistencies. BTW, four male Dems finished reading the King letter after Warren was ejected, without objections or invocation of 19.

Some of the guys have mentioned that Warren may run for President during the next cycle. She may, and is considered by some to be a front-runner. These attacks on her by the right are reminiscent of the way they went after Clinton and demonized her relentlessly when she was obviously the Dems' choice to be the next candidate after Obama.

The right ran a long negative, exhaustive and persistent campaign (multiple Benghazi investigations, paid speeches, then email scandal) to cast Clinton in a negative light in the national media, doing much to raise her unfavorabilities in the years leading up to the election... Now, same playbook, different person with a target on her back. You can bet the right will make numerous and repeated negative pronouncements about Warren in the next few years.
