We're all nuts here.
Updated decor with comfy seating and a hammock lounge in back. Get cozy - we could be here a while!

Hit me, bartender.

Frank, you and your hunny deserve your vacation for sure, but hurry back! The level of class in this place always suffers when you're gone!

HOW can we be out of limes?
Delta - Jamie wouldn't be flirting so hard with you if you'd stop doing the "bend & snap" and batting your eyes at him.

A squirrel has invaded my porch and is taking up residence in the rafters. He is not angry but I am. Does that count?.

Yes'm... aeropressed, cold stone sweet cream creamer, with a lid so it doesn't cool too fast.

(seriously... just made the wife's coffee while she showered)

Lt. Col. Frank Slade: Clear them little bottles off. And when I get off the phone here, call up Hyman and tell him I want it wall to wall with John Daniels.
Charlie Simms: Don't you mean Jack Daniels?
Lt. Col. Frank Slade: He may be Jack to you son, but when you've known him as long as I have... that's a joke.

LOVE the coldstone sweet cream! For almost four months I couldn't find the stuff anywhere - then it showed back up at Christmas and I put a monster jug in the home fridge, one for the work fridge, and bought five boxes of the little pods to keep in my classroom drawer! You know...just in case they disappear again.
Had to move them from the storage drawer to my personal desk drawer...did you know that teenagers toss those creamer pods back like shots? They drank a box worth of Peppermint mocha and pumpkin spice pods over the holiday break! WTH? Ate a bag of mini marshmallows, too.

Spoke with the principal this morning, dropped a couple of psychotic nutbags in her lap and WALKED AWAY. They are NOT my problem anymore. Now happily digesting ham steak, grits & eggs with more coffee. Meeting one of the teens who ate all my marshmallows for coffee in a couple hours. (I sense a theme.) Might need to change out of yoga pants and into real clothes between now and then...

6:30pm. If it's dark outside, pajamas are acceptable, correct?
Tea, please...strong with milk & a half spoon of sugar. Not really late enough to fret about caffeine, but given my intake levels today, I should probably dial back on the acidic beverages - at least until I get to Costco for another barrel of tums so I can continue my campaign of gastric destruction.

^^I'm going to balance the scales by having some pulled pork with spicy bbq sauce. Both home made, by me, with all natural ingredients.

I made a Verde sauce with 2 aneheim chilis, 2 pablanos, and an onion all grilled ( then peeled the peppers, removed seeds and stems) added them to the blender with 4 cloves garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, honey and 1 1/2 cup chicken broth and liquified. Poured over a pork shoulder last night and threw it into the oven 3 hours ago. Going to my dad's for tacos, he's making ground beef.

smells good in here...I'll have a little of everything...

I was walking at Whittier Narrows/Legg Lake park last year when I encountered an angry squirrel. It rambled onto the path directly in front of me, about 3 feet away, literally blocking my way. Then it stood up on its hind legs, stuck its bushy tail straight up, puffed out its cheeks and chest, and looked me straight in the eyes. It was the biggest and fattest squirrel I've ever seen, and I felt like it was demanding some food before letting me go. I pulled my pockets out to show they were empty. I got a mental image of myself getting my nuts bitten off...

Ugh...seriously; two weeks winter break, two days of work, three days of snow days, one week of work...and a three day weekend. I'm all for scoring a break or long weekend now and then, but come ON... enough, already! IT'S TIME TO GET SCHMIDT DONE!

I still have an angry squirrel taking up residence in my porch ceiling. My dog has a new form of entertainment. Stand on the porch looking upward and staying motionless.......waiting for an opportunity to see the squirrel,,,,,something that only happens twice a day.

I'm a big soup fan. Tonight was ham & navy bean here. Should've made cornbread; that would have been perfect.

Green tea, please; gotta work in the morning! Woop!
