Hey guys, been smoking cigars for awhile.....mostly just here and there, but for the last year or so I've been smoking one or two a week......when I have the time to really enjoy it. I don't usually smoke just to say I smoked a cigar today, but to relax and enjoy it while drinking a good beer or coffee to enhance my enjoyment.I usually smoke the toros or robustos, but I will smoke other sizes too. Not really a fan of anything over a 54 ring gauge.
All that being said, my favorite cigar so far is the DE Undercrown Shade .I also really enjoy the Perdomo Slow-Aged Lot 826. I just recently really enjoyed a Padilla Habano.
Any advice or suggestions for similar cigars would be appreciated. I know everyone's palate is different, but some guidance would be helpful. More of a mild to medium smoker at this point. Some of the stronger cigars leave me a little off kilter......if you know what I meanBARF! .......lol
TIA for any helpful info,(and the comedic answers I'm sure are headed my way)LOL

Price point? And specify - cbid price? shpo price? Any other cigars that you enjoy? That's a pretty small sample to extrapolate from

price point would depend on how bad I want to try a particular ciger.....most I've spent is 11.50 at local shop for 1st DE under crown, since then I've hit C-Bid for two fivers at about 3-4 per gar.
Another I really liked was My Father Conny. Perdomo Lot 23 was nice. Macanudo Cru Royale was good.
Over the Summer I had an Oliva Serie G with about 8 years of age on it....purchased a local auction....that was probably the best I've had.........paired with coffee out on the deck with nothing to do and no place to go.......the cigar was great, and it made my coffee taste like chocolate milk.
I make most of my purchases on C-Bid,but have a local spho(think I got that right) that has pretty good selection and pricing is not bad,so I usually go there to get something to try a one off before committing to more.

Going to ash an LHC Core for the first time in a couple years later today. I really liked them then, and if the bidding is sane they are a good price on here. Like Undercrowns more than most more expensive DEs-the LPs get strong and some are 100% pepper to me. For the price not my thing.

Illussiones have been good and not too strong imho. All the Olivas I've had could make repeat apperances, but again they might be toward your "strong" problem. I've found both not smoking on an empty stomach and slowing down help with the nic hits but YMMV

Being adrift is not always a bad thing. Enjoy the ride and try as many new (to you) cigars as you can. fog

I feel your pain. I think the same thing every day. I have tried a ton of cigars over the years but they come out faster than I can try them. Like Buckwheat said, just trying to enjoy the ride and try a lot of different ones. The same goes for craft beer for me.

Wait two years and the FDA will eliminate 70% of your choices.

Yeah, adrift is not always a bad thing.......I pretty much do smoke a little bit of everything, but really looking for a go to smoke too. You know ,something I can smoke and know what to expect on a consistant basis.

Same here. Solid mild smoke for $3 or less.

Go to smoke that is always the same - I recommend sticking with staples of the industry(at least as far as I'm concerned. . . )

To me this means Arturo Fuente or Padron. Can't go wrong with a padron and the 3000 series goes for less than $7 per on CI. Arturo Fuente, I personally love the work of arts(the natural wrapper is a good smoke) and they can be had for just under $8 per.

Now, I love the tat PCR, but that is a bit of a fire cracker and may not be up your ally, but I love a good petite corona and this one hits the mark with flavor and cost. . .

Just some of my suggestions. For good consistency though, I find hitting the premium brands but some of their "mid-range" options seems to be a good way to get a very consistent smoke without breaking the bank.

Davidoff 25 year anniversary if you can find one... excellent. Recently tried a Davidoff lounge selection... it was pretty good, but not as good as the Davidoff 25 year.

Ya, Davidoff makes some pretty good smokes in the mild to medium-full range.
