Looking for an under $5 stick I can fill up my humidor and share with friends. I like cedar, toasty,
slightly sweet smoke. Any suggestions appreciated.

Good luck with the initiation that is coming. That was my first question too...

The good advice that was given to me was Diesel and MOW. You can pick them up on specials. I also really like the 5 Vegas Classic as a cheap stick.

Truth is what I've found is if you watch the auction you can get really good deals on some higher end stuff. Then you fill your humi with better stuff at the $5 stick price point.

MOW is a good option, Diesel is a little strong for your preferences.

Go bid on that ultra super secret auction going on RIGHT NOW!

When I first started on here, that sampler helped chew up some space.

Might not be exactly what you're looking for, but you'll probably like them.

I'll check that out. I was also looking at some of the samplers from CI any experience with those?

For under $5 you can get Fuente R44. I can't think of a better smoke under $10.

You like cedar, toasty, and slightly sweet? Sprinkle some sugar in your humidor and brûlée it.

Try Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary. You can get the figuardo (4.7" x 46) box of 25 for just over $5. Try looking at the Vegas 5 brand. It's directed right at the beginner and easily under $5/stick. They have a decent selection of products ranging from mild to full. Someone on here mentioned Bahia Maduro and that's also a good introductory cigar too and way under $5/stick (as are all of the Bahia products). Don't be fooled by the Bahia Maduro's dark wrapper. Some people think that dark wrapper = heavy smoke. Typically a really dark, oily wrapper will leave some sweetness on your palate.

I don't know what region you live in but I bet there's a national park kinda close to your house.

You can get all the sticks you want. Be a real man and take home a log.

Aloha from Hawaii.

Small tip (...in case you haven't already figured it out...), calling cigars "sticks" isn't a very popular term on this site. The good Doctor was just being nice...this time. Gonz

As far as your post, try the My Father Connecticuts, a little mild but has some of the profile you like...for now. Your tastes will change over time so don't go too hog wild. A 5er to start but no more than 10. Of course ymmv.

Im a noobie as well, Have had great luck with under crown shade (you may have to lurk around to find these under 5 bucks, but well worth it. Also my first and still one of my favorite cigars is the joya de Nicaragua cabinetta, which you can find pretty regularly under 5 bucks if you buy boxes.

Cheers!Beer

Xikar HC White Shade-Grown. It's a budget CT-wrapped cigar, and fits the profile you give. I like it fine, and it can be had DIRT CHEAP here on cigarbid. I once got a 20-bundle for like $10 and $13 is easily doable, if I remember right... at least for now.

Is it high-end? Is it flawless? Nope. But it's tasty, quite well-made enough, and dirt cheap.

^^not a fan of any of the HCs.

At box prices you can pick up some reliable Arturo Fuentes under $5. (Don't get the Curly Head or whatever they are called).

I'm not a Fuente fan, either. However, there's plenty of sub $5 Fuentes that I'd rather have than any HC.

BTW, if you haven't yet, I suggest trying an 858SG -- turned my head around regarding Fuentes. Far and away the best of the line, IMO. First I've had that I truly enjoyed (including HTF's, Opi, GoF, Anejo, etc.)

.....I've since found a few skinny Opus that I like

Yep...after a similar post a couple years ago, a generous brother, dubleuhb, sent me a fiver. I still have one. The first four are gone and sadly, forgotten.....didn't float my boat.

You can get all sorts of great cigars at $5 each on here. For the mild tastes that won't knock your buddies on the floor, I would also suggest a conny.

Did you say free Dubleuhb!!!

R44 is one of my favorites, got a good deal about a year ago on a box but can still be found for about $200. If you are looking Palama I can pm a place that I think is at $204 right now shipped.

Take a look at Monte No. 5. Only $5.08 per stick and it's a great smoke for about 30 or 40 minutes.
