The day before you posted this pic, we gave a friend a bottle for her birthday. Ended up enjoying a glass as a toast. It had been a few years since I had Sazerac. Wow, it is just as good as I remembered. I will definitely have a glass. Can't wait to see you fellers!

I bought a case last time I saw it on shelves at a reasonable price.

If only I could find more weller 12s ; ;

But my local got me a bottle of CEHT Seasoned Wood to go with my Cured Oak, Barrel Proof, SiB, SmB, and Rye. Wish I had the Tornado or Sour Mash to complete the vertical...

A friend got me a bottle. At least, that is what she said. She sent me a pic of the bottle. She is a very good friend, so I still have hope that friendship outweighs the deliciousness of the Sazerac.

I suppose we should be telling people how bad it is. Kinda like giving our fav smokes negative reviews to keep bids low.

Sazerac is a favorite for me out of all the whiskeys I have tried. Basil and Bakers is pretty high up there as well

Alot of variety out there. Rye has more spice. To legally be a rye its just 51% rye but the selection out there varies with many being the 95% MGP Rye distilled in Indiana and sold to NDPs. I'm very fond of Rittenhouse Rye, SAOS Ryes, Willet Ryes, High West Ryes (the last three are mostly 95% MGP unless you get the young Willet or the old High West).

I've heard good things about the newer pikesville rye (51% rye) too but haven't tried myself.

SOme people have even said good things about Crown Royal Rye, Jack Daniels Rye, Dickel Rye. I haven't tried any of those.

I've not been impressed by the whistlepig or masterson's products with the hefty price tage they carry

Also, if you are a beer drinker, try some beer with lots of rye in it. Hard to find, but great stuff.

There's lots of rye beer out there. Scmaltz brewing makes a killer one called Lenny's rye.

Thanks???

I was thinking a simple "thanks bud" from Tuck would suffice.

Most of their products are typically in stock. Or in the Sip they are.

not a huge beer drinker. I usually drink 1 or 2 beers and them sound like they would be right up my alley.

I looked into scoring this through my division and it doesn't look good.

However

One of our largest customers had a case yesterday afternoon, hidden in the stock room.

You need to let me know if this means enough for me to burn a favor with this guy. I'll go to bat for it if it means a lot to you.

Also you will have to share that new addy.....and I have a VERY big mouth. Hahaha

Honestly I haven't looked. I just saw this case by itself so it stuck out. Plus I knew Tuck was a fan.

This guys back room is a wreck. I doubt he knows what all he has.

He's one of the low margin/ high volume guys. So he moves a Ton of product. He estimated $3 mil in inventory just in the back. I wouldn't argue against that number.

The distribution of whiskey is mind boggling... My local in TX always has Sazerac... But they NEVER have ETL or Blantons.. Until this year, they usually had Weller12 too.. Brick wall

I'm learning it's all about relationships and how package stores buy.

If you want your hands on some allocated stuff, you better buy a butt load of regular in stock items. ( store owners I mean).

Example:
I have a prissy guy that wants to run a boutique style "hard to find" store. Yet he's not willing to buy normal items. He's crazy if he thinks he gets first dibs on my allocated bourbon.

If you have to have the rare stuff, build a relationship with the owner and spend some coin with him.
