Lowman --- you can hardly call someone a 'bad trader' for offering to send out 'free' cigars ...

... sounds to me like this was a 'no strings attached' gift, and for what ever reason, he dedided to change his mind.

Very uncool for sure ... to promise something and not follow through ... but he wasn't trading.

Anytime I'm offered something for nothing ... I take it with a grain of salt. If it happens, it happens. If not ... oh well ...

Sorry Slim, you're right... I will correct myself...

Sounds like a canidate for the "I'll post about giving away free cigars and then change my mind" list.

How's that?? :o)

Low

Hope you guys didn't lose too many good cigars in this "deal"

;^)

It still sucks, though. If shy111 can't be a man of his word, he shouldn't have offered in the first place ...

He may not be a bad trader, but his character is certainly in question right now ... and this will definately influence future trades with him.

I agree with slim on this one.

But, shy could atleast let us know that he changed his mind!!
I have 2 unanswered e-mails since this was, as shy said it "All Done"!!!
Maybe his wife caught him on his way out to the post office and demanded that he not give those cigars away!! LOL!!
I`m not sour at Shy, I would just like to know what happened! I guess we all "live and learn"

true, technically this was not a trade but i did (voluntarily) send him a small pkg to cover his postage. and while it might not make shy a bad trader per se it still calls his character enough into question for me to never do a 'real' trade with him. but until this is cleared up i would encourage others to do likewise.
fortunately i only sent a handful of good-but-everyday type smokes. i have hundreds more! lol
i hope he is just slack or something and didnt have something awful happen to him.

There's an old scam.
Free cigars! I've got to clear out my 'dor.
You e-mail, he/she e-mails in return and at the bottom of his/her e-mail is what appears to be a "signature" mailing address. In appreciation, you send some sticks for the offer and postage.
You never see the offered cigars.

Every BBS sees a few of these.

I am sorry that those who responded did not receive what I said I would send. I had a death in the family and was out of the country for over 1 month. Needless to say cigars were not on my mind. I still have the cigars and am definately willing to give them away. Sorry for not following through on my end in a timely manner. My email is shy31atprodigydotnet

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. My wifes Grandmother just passed last Tuesday and we're still sorting things out. Hope you and your family are doing well.
