Hey E, I think I gave you this one, too. I'm curious, how much are you charging for the "her boxes"?

Right again! This one is an extremely nice box that I added a pre-made handle to. Haven't carried it yet, but I definitely will soon.

I sell them starting at $20.00...mainly to cover the costs of the beads, pre-made stuff, linings, etc...since the boxes have all been gifted to me...

BUT, I really have made them for myself. I know it is quite greedy, but I absolutely love them. I'll sell one if pushed to it.

The pre-made handles are between 3-5 bucks each, but some of the hand beaded ones I've done have added up to $50.00 plus just for the beads...so it'll depend on my cost...

... personally, if it was me ... I wouldn't let the better (bigger) ones sell for under $75 ...

... especially if they cost you $50 to make!

You KNOW what they go for on the internet ...

Slim, I wouldn't think of GIVING one away at less than cost, but I'm not out to rip anyone off either.

I've seen 'em for over $220.00 in stores here...can you believe that!?

And since I'm not 'pushing' them so to say, it's not a money maker. But people, men and women, always are very interested in it and want to buy it off my shoulder...which I'm only too happy to oblige (as long as it isn't one of my favorites!)...I also keep several in my trunk just in case!

I don't want those of you that have gifted me with your boxes to feel that I'm using you for my gain. I most certainly am not! It has brought me hours of enjoyment though, thank you!!!

I don't know how the others feel, but the time and creativity that you have put in them is worth something (ask any artist of craftsman) ... and I don't think anyone who gave you a box would care one way or the other if you made a personal gain on them.

IMHO ... the only way you would be ripping people off, is if you sold them for over what they sell for in the stores where you live ... or the prices you find them online.

You know the old saying ... what is is worth, is what someone is willing to pay for it.

I hate to see anyone shortchange themselves ...

Not getting soft ... just giving credit where credit is due.
