81678 puro desnudo canonazo N6 from cbd I like it. This is a way better cigar than the lanceros I got a couple few years ago. The “ebony+ivory” bundle. I thought they were just smokeable. Put me off from ever buying more. If I remember correctly they were around 8$ each and I felt scammed. I need to smoke another to see if time did them any good

Thanks cbd good smoke

These have been a favorite of mine, I ended up going pretty deep on them. Those ones you mentioned (think 2021) were kind of a low point as far as I'm concerned compared to the 2019 and the latest releases. Think I still have a bundle of them I need to revisit just to see how much they improved or not.

How was the Coshecha 151, Air?

How do you quote someone on a phone? I don't see a button for that.

The 151 is better than the 149s and 146s - And I'm a big fan of the 146s. I recommend the 151 toro. A noticeable increase to a med/full body as opposed to the former being medium bodied.

I only visit this forum when I'm at home, on my laptop. I've never used my phone to access the site.

Wowsers, I’m glad that, so far, it appears no one was injured.

81695: AR Quattro Maestro
Outstanding. Salty twang, leather, fruity sweetness, a bit of charred tomato paste I think, very well balanced. Peppery on the open which subsides quickly. Middle third sweet toasty bread flavors take over but unfortunately in small amounts. The last third more like the first third with occasional hits of anise on the retro aftertaste. Cool smoke and plenty of it to the nub.

816NINERNINER; Montecristo Media Noche Edmundo (Robusto)

CB review is correct: “… a complex smoke backed by ample strength, but delivered in a pleasant, methodical fashion. Leather and wood flavors dominate the palate, complemented by a spicy-sweet aftertaste. Full-bodied and ultimately satisfying.” The first third had a very pleasant and strong sweet smokey flavor that reminded me of Hickory and ginger which yielded in second third to more leather and woody only to return with a bang in final third and then fizzle out suddenly having smoked about a third of the last third. I thought the nicotine strength increased dramatically in the last third but it could have been that it was creeping up on me unnoticed. Excellent little firecracker at these prices if you can excuse the dramatic falloff in final third.

81704: AB Tempus Quadrum (Quadrum is the BP vitola) Robusto
Sorely disappointed. I like this blend and vitola but this one had such awful construction that it was unsmokable after the second inch. This definitely moves AB down a notch in my trust. I bought a 10 pack of Black Market Vandal / Con and every last one had the same problem.

Anyone have an opinion on the Room 101 Namakubi Renfla? Small place has 35% off and I’m wondering if I have room to squeeze a few more sticks into storage.

81707 LFD 1994 with thanks to jakethesnake. My memory fails me on whether or not I've had this one and I think it's the last of Jake's Tag! Cigars.

Starts off with that rich earthiness of Dominican tobacco. Leathery, sweet. Very nice. I always say I need to explore LFD but never do. Inch in, lots of pepper, a bit more coffee grounds. Waiting for the creamy texture and I'll love this cigar. So far pretty dry but not astringent. One touchup after 2nd ash drop. The cream is creeping in. Another ash drop another touchup. Wonder if there's a crack in the wrapper/ binder it's slow burning on the same side the whole way, on the seam of the band side. Doesnt seem to care, tastes fine, draws fine, burns fine just needs a lil catchup assistance. Cream never really came forward but it was there just enough to balance the pepper and earth. Little mineral twang in there in thr last third to keep it interesting. I often find myself bored with a cigar after an hour or so but this had enough variety over the 2 hour smoke to prevent that.

Thank you JTS for a wonderful journey through many cigars I probably wouldn't have smoked otherwise.

Agreed. LFD stuff is top notch.

I thought the Air Bender was shallow and pedantic, but the 1994, Colorado oscuro and especially the double ligero maduro are top notch. The DL600 maduro is a top 5 regular smoke for me.

81715 Dumbarton Mi Querida tricky tacos 652

It's a nice cigar. But it's not for me. I need to be in a particular mood to enjoy a ligero laden cigar. While it's not a kick in the teeth, it's a sharpness in a cigar that would otherwise be rich and savory. Like hot peppers on a steak. I could enjoy that, but not right now.

I put it down at halfway. I was nervous lighting this one while on call cause I didn't want to have to pitch a $10 cigar if my pager went off. Pager stayed quiet, still ditched the cigar.

I smoke different blends and vitolas from LGC. My best experiences w/this brand are really very good. Across all the blends and vitolas I estimate that 10% to 15% have some type of construction issue. Today’s smoke had a very tight draw and a burn line that needed constant mending. About halfway in I had to break off a very large piece of hard charcoal-like char. The flavors just weren’t there though it didn’t have any off putting tastes. A few months in storage may have corrected the problem. I don’t smoke ROT but still, a cigar should be smokable at time of sale. Disappointed.

81720: Macanudo Cafe. Last of a fiver from fall '21. Could I possibly be wrong? (Yes). I usually only age Connie's for a year, then ash them, but forgot about these and a few AVO's. It is really good. It has that menagerie of flavors that only come with an aged cigar: cinnamon, classic connie, and an enjoyable minerality. Only three ashes, each long and white. Straight burn, no touch ups. Don't plan to revisit, but might give other Connie's more time in the humi. Paired with Crown Royal Noble Collection 16 yr. old Rye. Excellent.

81721 CLE 25th anniversary. Wow. Zrx told me to try em. Was hesitant at this price so I only got a single.

Deltas buttered shortbread is in there along with a great earthy tone and some minerals on the front. Fantastic rich creamy texture came on early. No bite on retro, just a rich smooth cigar with loads of that eiroa twang in there. Even the nutty notes are all sweet nut no shells. Macadamia and pecan lightly salted. The spice and stuff came on halfway and ramped up in a big way. I haven't a comparison to this one, it's all the eiroa corojo things turned up to 11 now. I'm really worried about getting called in now, I don't wanna to put this one down.

Slight burn unevenness I blame the sharp box press. No touch ups though! It catches up with rotation. Paired with water, there's no need to mix in anything else. This is a damn good cigar. Thanks Jamie for the suggestion. I'm gonna need more of these. Tenski often has em on sale for $11-12.
