This is going just like I planned. A winter recess and when we return, we have a whole three business days to come up with a package to avoid a government shutdown. I don’t care, Shut It Down! Wait…… a government shutdown actually adds to the deficit? Oh ohhh.

Wait. Financial overages will add to the deficit, BUT it will add to the deficit under Biden. It’s a win. I’m a wizard!

Now all the Dems need to do is sit back calmly and wait for MTG (Massive Tantrum Girl) to go head hunting for Potter to demonstrate Republicans are truly unfit to govern in time for the home stretch of the election cycle.

Of course the upcoming DNC in Chicago ChitShow should help sink the Dems as fast as the hot-blooded, angry white trash element of the Republican Party.

The race to the bottom is getting closer, and closer to the bottom each day.

Did you think it was strange that a freedom caucus member with no previous chair experience had no massive yells from the left?

When you are so far off the rails that you threaten Massey with fines for a tweet, and Massey is tired of your 💩 I wonder why you always go to the Republican can’t govern. Some seem to have consistency in their principles……right or wrong. And those are the ones you like name calling the most it seems.

Well she did insert around 12 earmarks in the spending bill then throws a tantrum about excess spending before she filed a motion to have a vote to vacate the speaker for passing that bill so she has that going for her. Of course it’s also ironic that Matt Gaetz inserted the largest earmark, $90M, in the same bill even though he led the revolt against McCarthy a month or so before for the spending bill he got passed.

So it’s pretty safe to say it has zero to do with principles and everything to do with grandstanding.

She knows how the crooked game is played.
If you don't earmark da money for domestic pork, the Demo-Bolsheviks will earmark da money for fraud, waste, and war. Its not like the money won't get spent on something. There is no such thing in da swamp where if you don't spend da money on one thing, it won't get spent. They'll even give some to Joey B. to subsidize Hamas.

MTG is the worst type of opportunist. What she does is gaslighting and grandstanding. The Democrats will support the speaker the first time because he chose country over party, as it should always be. The second time who knows? If Johnson is removed from the speakership, I think this will devastate the Republicans in the election. The Democrats will vote for their leader in a united manner. The house could be shut down for a long time. They will need to choose a Pro Tem speaker. Americans are tired of the disfunction in the Republican party. It will be almost impossible for the Republicans to choose a permanent speaker because they are so polarly divided. Even if you hate everything Democrat and liberal, surely you can see the problem with such divisiveness.

I would rather see the Republicans fix their broken party and leadership problems than line up like sheep heading for the gulag. They will take heat from both sides and people will be impatient with their brokenness. That should not deter those Representatives who were sent to Congress to “fix” things on behalf of their constituents. Too many campaign one way then vote another. Going along with the crowd and obeying the party bosses may spin into a nice country over party story but that is just more gaslighting and deception. That’s how I see this dysfunctional system.

There is a certain amount of truth in what you say. However, change comes about incrementally. Wars are won by being victorious in some battles and mitigating damage in others. If leaders lead their troops into a slaughter none will be left standing to continue the fight.

That’s the problem with people like MTG. She presents an all or nothing attitude. Doing so paints one into a corner and anything less than a full victory is viewed by bystanders as a total defeat. Unfortunately the fallout is an appearance of ineptitude which leads voters to seek an alternative.

At the moment House Republicans should be trying to come together so they can convince voters that they are capable of managing the House and should be rewarded with at least as many seats as they currently have. The reality however is an appearance of a party in chaos which is far from desirable.

I can’t argue with that. I’d love to see consensus among the Republicans. I’d also love to see a Democrat or two start asking a few tough questions. I’m not saying this as though that’s how I hope they destroy their party. I’d rather see voters make a choice that forces that level of change. I only mean that I think it’s good for either party to have some loud mouth policing their own. If that makes sense?

The Dems have a leash and muzzle on their Squad.

And as Evangelicals are hearing more about the Hush Trial, more are looking in the mirror and starting to flake off support Humpy Trumpy.

They are finally asking themselves “I’m suppose to be a Christian, what is Christian about supporting a Grab Em By the *****, convicted sexual assaulter, and a guy paying off Playboy models and a Porn Star?”

With the primaries over, it is a heck of a time to have that epiphany.
