I’ve usually stayed away from Maduros mistakenly thinking they were stronger than I would like.
But I realize I was wrong, so what should I be checking out? Any recommendations welcome. I do enjoy a medium cigar, but am happy to go full bodied if the flavors there
Thanks

Arturo Fuente makes some nice maddies, a good intro into that wrapper.
Padrons are excellent.

Arturo Fuente 858 and Rothschild Maduros are my favorites. The AF Hemingway Maduros are also great. The AF Anejo is fantastic.

LFD double ligero maduro is great, too.

I don’t think it was the Maduro, but that LFD double Ligero kicked my azz! I was punching way above my weight class with that one. It was a great cigar though, and maybe the maduro would work for me.
Adding to the list…thanks

Over here in noobland I have received a ton of various budget friendly maddies. Depending on what you care to spend and what vitola you might prefer......

AJF Last Call maduro is decent. I got ten geniales for under $30 from tenski, but they usually are mid $30s these days.

Southern Draw Quick Draw Mad corona gorda was going for way cheap this summer..decent little smoke for $3ish

Punch Rothschilde mad is often on cbid..I like them pretty well. I frirst picked up three 5ers on cbid for $4ea a few months ago. Since then I grabbed a couple more fivers and have paid $7. They show up with no image on the auction...maybe that's why they sometimes go

Graycliff 10 Year Vintage are fairly mild/med. After my first fiver I went back and picked up a couple more. The fluctuate, but if you can get a 5er for $14 or $16 on cBid they are worth a taste imo.

Monte Cristo media noche (edmundo...I think I'd like to try the corona)..I bought several singles on cBid for $4. My buddy loves them. I'm ok with them....maybe after some rest they'll hit me differently

I have "better" maddies from Fuente, DE, MF, CH, but the above aren't going to waste. I still like 'em and I'll still enjoy 'em

That's a strong cigar about as strong as cigars get. They make that cigar in a huge size something like 8×70 called a "digger". Smoked one once just to try..Great cigar to watch a sporting event cause it will last the whole game even if it goes into OT but smoke it slow and sitting down.

You might also try Cohiba Black and Macanudo Maduro. Both are available here on cbid for around $3.50 each if you catch it right. Both have CT Broadleaf wrappers with Dominican filler. I like them both. Montesino Maduro is another good one to try.

if you don't want more than medium strength and not expensive, the Illusione Rothschild is a good one to try.

I'm a FOG but there are even FOGGIER guys here who may yet weigh in.

I know its a running joke here but the Brazilia isn't to bad either. Particularly the box press.

Oh man, too funny. Not my intent to make anyone sick, I just lean toward the really strong stuff. The dl600 maduro is one of my favorites.

Currently smoking a Espinosa Laranja Reserva Escuro that's been sitting for a few years. Super smooth.

Don't forget the Pradon X000 maduro. Great cigar.

The 3000 maduro used to be my go-to.

Man back in the day, the Bahia Gold maduros were awesome, too bad I got on that train so late.

Rammie, some of us just smoke much less, so the “elitist” tag is sometimes at the same price entrance….just saying.

Haven't bought 5 Vegas in a long time.
A good cheap cigar (not maduro) is REO. (Robusto)
Won't show up on the auction, just CI site.

601 Green is another one available on CBid that's pretty good and won't break the bank.

I should have added that I like the Ave Maria Argentum, but it is on the stronger end of things.

Same with 601 Blue
Nica Libre

If you want to spend more coin, Plascencia Alma Fuerte or anything by Ezra Zion is a safe bet.

ram27bat stick with Conn. Broaleaf.
Stay away from cheap maduros. Most likely they are "cooked maduros"
