The saving grace was at 9:00 he and his wife was picked up and whisked them away to the Brewers home opener.
Truly understands the little guy.
Ideally, I used to only schedule to go in to work for one hour the day after returning from a long vacation- to avoid the inherent uber-stress and simply get organized for the next day/that week. This just included reading all the mail and reviewing notes I missed from calls I missed. But, reality is that I was never was truly out of contact by email, phone, overnight envelope, fax, etc. when worth the cost back then.
