Democrats Are Hiding Seriousness of John Fetterman’s Condition to Avoid Special Election

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) is rumored to be “brain dead” while reportedly hospitalized at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda.

This wouldn’t be the first time Fetterman and the Democrats have hidden his health problems from the public. In May 2022, The Gateway Pundit reported Fetterman suffered a major stroke that almost took his life just months before the mid-term elections. Democrats hid the seriousness of his condition and pushed him to campaign when he was not even capable of holding a conversation.

Fetterman did not come clean on his health for years regarding his heart disease or how damaging last year’s stroke was. He now has a pacemaker and defibrillator implanted, and it was only recently reported that he has “serious mental health challenges” from the stroke that have taken a “psychological toll” on him.

The Gateway Pundit reported yesterday that Fetterman is much worse than he, his wife, and staff are telling the public after checking into the hospital for clinical depression on February 15.

Fetterman Health Cover-Up: Chief of Staff Insta-Blocks Reporter Who Asked How Senator Can Sponsor Bills While Being Held Incommunicado for Two Weeks in Psych Ward

By Kristinn Taylor Mar. 2, 2023 6:49 am

Adam Jentleson, chief of staff for Sen. Joh Fetterman (D-PA), blocked conservative writer Stephen L. Miller, aka redsteeze, for asking how it is that Fetterman is sponsoring legislation while being hospitalized under doctor’s care. Fetterman has been held incommunicado for over two weeks now while allegedly being treated for clinical depression at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

Jentleson boasts on his Twitter profile he is “Reid mafia for life”, a reference to his serving as deputy chief of staff to late Senator Reid (D-NV). In his bio for a book talk last year about the Senate written between working for Reid and Fetterman, Jentleson boasted he was a “go-to source for reporters.”

Adam Jentleson is a veteran of presidential campaigns and served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Senator Harry Reid until Reid retired in 2017. In his capacity with Reid, he was a senior advisor on political, legislative and communications strategy through the fights of the Obama years. He is a go-to source for reporters, activists and Congressional staff, along with members of Congress, for creative approaches to legislative strategy. He has been cited as an authority by every major national American news outlet and several international ones. In addition to The New York Times, Jentleson’s writing has appeared in The Washington Post, Politico, and GQ. Jentleson is the author of Kill Switch: The Rise of the Modern Senate and the Crippling of American Democracy. Jentleson’s work has been cited as influencing the debate over reforming the filibuster in the Senate and motivating Democrats to be aggressive.

Fetterman’s long absence for what is typically a hospital stay of a few days to a week combined with no proof of life or health photos or videos has given rise to speculation that his condition is worse than his staff is telling the public.
It was announced Wednesday that Fetterman was co-sponsor of a bi-partisan bill targeting railway safety, along with the three other senators whose states, Ohio and Pennsylvania, were affected by the toxic train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio a month ago: Bob Casey (D-PA), Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and J.D. Vance (R-OH) along with Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL and Josh Hawley (R-MO).

Stephen L. Miller asked Adam Jentleson about Fetterman co-sponsoring the bill at 1:46 a.m. EST Thursday. Within two minutes Jentleson blocked him (who blocks people at almost two in the morning for politely asking about their boss?):

“Adam, who is co-signing and introducing Senate legislation from Senator Fetterman’s office while he himself is currently hospitalized and under current medical observation?”

So, That's Why John Fetterman's Hospital Stay Got Extended Another Two Weeks

Does Pennsylvania have a U.S. Senator? I only ask because John Fetterman has been hospitalized for what seems like a decade by now. The Keystone progressive, who somehow handily beat Republican Dr. Mehmet Oz in the 2022 Senate race, was immediately riddled with health episodes. During a Senate Democrat winter retreat, he had to be rushed to the hospital. Fetterman would later be hospitalized again, opting to stay for a month to deal with bouts of depression. That’s when his wife ditched him to take the family on vacation.

Did they go to get some peace of mind, or did they see an opening for a holiday without worries that someone needed to watch dad consistently? Who knows? The vacation itself wasn’t controversial—it’s just the unseemly social media posts, with this family acting as if Mr. Fetterman was fine. He’s not. On March 14, his hospital stay was extended another two weeks because doctors needed more time to balance his medications (via NY Post):

Pennsylvania voters weigh in on Democrat Senator John Fetterman:

"I don't think the man is fit for the job." pic.twitter.com/vkR0b6jG6Q
— RNC Research (@RNCResearch) March 25, 2023

Sen. John Fetterman’s health is reportedly improving, but he could remain hospitalized for up to two more weeks as doctors work to get his medication “exactly right.”

The Pennsylvania Democrat checked himself into Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Feb. 16 for treatment for clinical depression just days after he was hospitalized after feeling lightheaded at a Democratic Party retreat.

“John Fetterman is making progress in his recovery from clinical depression and could leave Walter Reed within next two weeks,” CNN congressional reporter Manu Raju tweeted on Tuesday.

“The senator’s physician recently informed him that he will be ‘as good or better than his best days post-stroke,’” Raju added.

Fetterman’s health struggles began May 13 of last year when he suffered a stroke during the final days of Pennsylvania’s Senate primary campaign.

That stroke almost killed him, and it would have been appropriate for Fetterman to drop out and focus on his recovery. Sen. Mark Kirk (R-IL) suffered a severe stroke during his time in office. He spent nearly a year away from the upper chamber focusing on his recovery, which included learning to walk again; the stroke deeply affected the left side of his body. Kirk should have decided not to run for re-election in 2016. He rode in on the 2010 Tea Party wave, and his Democratic opponent was milquetoast. Six years later, Tammy Duckworth was vying for his seat, and she now occupies it. It was a presidential year—no way Kirk would win re-election.

For Fetterman, the critical months of his recovery were hampered by campaign events where his motor skills showed evident signs of decay. He rambled, misspoke, and said things that didn’t make sense.

“The Eagles are better than the Eagles” was one of his most infamous outbursts on the stump, along with ‘Hi, goodnight, everybody’ during the first and only televised debate between Fetterman and Oz. The man is not healthy. It’s time we admit that he cannot do the job. Even with all the tweaks and modifications installed to ensure he could follow what was happening in the Senate, Fetterman still couldn’t take it. Before his hospitalization, there were reports that the Pennsylvania Democrat couldn’t comprehend other people’s communications. When others speak to him, it sounds like the teachers from the Peanuts cartoons. There’s also a realization within his camp that Fetterman most likely has permanent brain damage.

And yet, he co-signed some legislation to make railway transportation safer amid the East Palestine, Ohio crash. All this was done while he was hospitalized, so what’s happening with this crew up on the Hill? Someone whom the people of Pennsylvania did not elect has seized the duties and responsibilities of John Fetterman, or they’re abusing him while in hospital, forcing him to sign off on pieces of paper he cannot comprehend.

The extended hospital stay was reported on March 14. He should be discharged this week. We shall see.

Doin' the "work" PA voters want.

John Fetterman Comes Back to Work, Arrives at Capitol in Gym Attire

Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman returned to the Senate Monday, more than two months after checking himself into Walter Reed Army Medical Center to be treated for severe depression. He had only been on the job for about a month and was still experiencing issues from a serious stroke when he experienced what his team called a mental health crisis. Just prior to the Walter Reed stay, he had also been admitted to George Washington University Hospital after he had reported “feeling lightheaded” during a February retreat for Senate Democrats in Washington, D.C.

He last voted in the Senate on February 15.

Arriving in a black SUV, Fetterman exited the vehicle, raised his arms, and touched his heart in a gesture suggesting he appreciated the support he’d been shown. He was wearing shorts and a hoodie—not your typical senatorial garb, and casual even for him.

He waved to the crowd but did not answer any questions—not even the shouted query, “How are you feeling, Senator?”—before entering the Capitol Building.

OutKick founder and radio talk show host Clay Travis wasn’t impressed by Fetterman’s ensemble and pointed out that he still appeared to have a noticeably stiff gait:

John Fetterman might walk worse than Biden. Pennsylvanians should be ashamed for electing him, he’s not close to being able to do the job. And how is this the outfit he wore to the Senate after months off the job? Zero chance he makes it six years. pic.twitter.com/zyEhv8SLZY

— Clay Travis (@ClayTravis) April 17, 2023

Most lawmakers returned to work on Monday, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who’s been out since early March after he tripped at a dinner event and suffered a concussion. If you think it’s starting to sound like a hospital ward over there at the Senate, it’s because there are a fair number of folks out with issues. California Democrat Dianne Feinstein has been MIA for over two months with a case of shingles and has not indicated if—or when—she will return. Her absence has prompted calls for her resignation. (See: California Rep. Ro Khanna twists himself into knots trying to explain how the Fetterman and Feinstein situations are different.)

Fetterman apparently will be getting right back in the swing of things, according to Daily Mail:

Senators have a vote on Monday evening. And, on Wednesday, the senator will chair his first hearing, a subcommittee hearing of the Agriculture committee.

‘Sen. Fetterman on Wednesday will chair his first subcommittee hearing in the Subcommittee on Food and Nutrition, Specialty Crops, Organics, and Research for a hearing will focus specifically on SNAP and the critical assistance it provides to working families through the upcoming Farm Bill,’ his office said in a statement.

The senator posted this rather ominous-looking tweet regarding his return Monday:

it’s good to be back pic.twitter.com/bdqW3W7FAj

— Senator John Fetterman (@SenFettermanPA) April 17, 2023

The obvious question now becomes, is John Fetterman mentally and physically fit enough to serve out his entire 6-year term? His health concerns were well-chronicled at RedState during his 2022 campaign. Here are just a few of our stories:

CNN Medical Analyst Talks About Fetterman’s Condition, and It’s Not Good

For Anyone Who Has Spent Time With the Cognitively Impaired, Watching Biden and Fetterman Is Heart-Wrenching

Fetterman Delivers Befuddled Remarks, as Even the NYT Admits There’s a Problem

Welcome back to John Fetterman, further proof that cognition, speech comprehension, emotional balance, and even showing up for work are no longer necessary for a career in Democrat politics!

— Charlie Kirk (@charliekirk11) April 17, 2023

It might seem mean-spirited to question Fetterman’s fitness for office, but it’s an entirely legitimate inquiry. He appeared incoherent and dazed throughout his campaign, then went into a hospital within a few weeks of starting his tenure. The stroke he suffered in May 2022 nearly killed him, he admitted, and it’s currently unknown whether he will ever make a full recovery. As many have argued, it seemed cruel for his family to not call for him to step out of the race and return home to be nursed back to full health.

But he didn’t, and for now he’s back in the United States Senate. One can’t help but wonder how long this will last.

Dazed and Confused Fetterman Returns to Capitol Hill After 2-Month Absence Looking Like a Slob (VIDEO)

Think

Wait a minute...this is the same line we all heard when it came to Biden! That hasn't turned out well...at all. I guess the rest of the US thought the people in PA would figure it out...but they didn't.

You can't even say Oz was the worst guy anymore. Look at this guy they elected. He's actually WORSE off than Biden!

John Fetterman’s opening committee hearing statement raises concern: ‘Not remotely well’

By Victor Nava
April 19, 2023

Quote:
Sen. John Fetterman’s first time leading a hearing in the Senate on Wednesday was met with concern among social media users, with many saying that the Pennsylvania Democrat’s obvious trouble reading his opening statement signals that he is unfit to serve.

Fetterman, who suffered a stroke on the campaign trail and was hospitalized for five weeks for depression treatment last month, led the Senate Agriculture Committee’s Subcommittee on Food and Nutrition, Specialty Crops, Organics and Research hearing on Wednesday, stammering and stumbling through his two-minute-long opening remarks.

“Good lord. This dude is not remotely well or able to do this job. Embarrassing for Pennsylvania,” Outkick founder Clay Travis wrote in a tweet.

John Fetterman Struggles to Read from a Prepared Script

As Mr. Fetterman struggles to read, Americans struggle to understand what he just read. The people of Pennsylvania, including Republicans, voted for him to serve as their senator.

After a months-long hospitalization, Mr. Fetterman still hasn’t recovered from his stroke last year. He can’t speak or read clearly, and it’s not clear he understands what people are saying to him.

His latest…

“Pennsylvanians have seen firsthand the awful impact on flooding on their homes and lives,” Fetterman said. “During Hurricane Ida, residents in and around Penn Philadelphia area sheltered within the storm toward, excuse me, tore their homes apart,” he continued. People shared their stories of swimming out of their homes. The “Vine Street exway” [expressway] was underwater…”

He didn’t understand the first answer in this next clip.

While we’re at it, what’s with Mitch McConnell? He doesn’t look well.

America now have obvious cognitively-impaired leaders running our government; first, Joe Biden, then John Fetterman, now Mitch McConnell. pic.twitter.com/mDPA5BqyW9

— Shannon Ford (@shannonfordUSA) May 2, 2023

In the next clip, when Mr. Fetterman first returned from the hospital and chaired a committee. it was a stunning return and went viral.

“I call to this hearing of the U.S. Senate subcommittee and food and nutrition and specialty crops, organics and research, to order,” Fetterman said. “Hunger is not a Republican or a Democrat issue. It’s all of our issue that we have to take it on.”
