It's a variation of crypto kind of. Graphic images have some kind of specific code that supposedly can't be copied. Enough people think they're valuable and they become valuable. That belief ends, and they become worthless

The boy bought some cartoon frog NFT for a couple hundred and sold it for 7x that 3 days later.
