I don't recall there ever being a discussion about Generals here in the General Discussion forum ... why do you suppose that is the case, when countless other topics have been discussed ad nauseam ???

Imagine the possibilities ...

Custer: Not actually a General ... MacArthur: 20th Century Caesar ... Petraeus: Victim of Political Correctness?

General Hospital ... on the air since 1963 ... most of the cast members weren't even born when the series first hit the air ... same for most of the participants in this forum ...

I got to spend the day with 4 Star General Wayne A. Downing one time. Gave him a tour of our work site and me and my team got to have lunch with him. Cool and impressive dude that I was honored to spend time with.

Amazing how the group In just a few replies illustrate why serious or even quasi-serious conversations about generals never got off the ground.

One of my favorites was General Pinochet of Chile.

A right winger who put up with leftist protest for a bit, and when they started to riot, he gave them one way chopper rides to 10 miles off the coast gave them a push.

The rioting recitisism rate was at zero.

Someone like that is what we need here today, he could start with Hollywood.

That's the way to do it, really... most criminals use ORM before they commit a crime. Is the reward worth the risk?

Since most of our jails/prisons are leaning toward rehabilitation instead of actual punishment, the risk is minimal.

Singapore canes the sh*t out of people, in public. One of the lowest crime rates.
