d'oh!

So first, I have to go to the Dentist for a crown. Ugh

Then, as I'm driving home...it starts raining pretty hard...so I slow down. Then it starts raining harder. So I slow down even more.. By now I'm going 15-20 mph

Next thing I know, my truck starts spinning and I crash into the retaining wall. My bed cover flies off... And two cars a lane over from me are off the ground, then rolling down the road

Freaking tornado....

Good news is I'm fine. Others around were taken away in ambulances

Bad news, my truck got pretty messed up.

I feel blessed. Pray

Yup. Sugar Land. I guess XM radio doesn't announce local weather alerts... d'oh!

My wife texted me right after it happened. "Be careful, there's a tornado warning"

Yeah that rain sucked this morning was a little further up the road on 10 in Katy where the rain was pouring down but the air was a bit more stable. Glad you made it out safe. Best I can offer you is a nice smoke and a glass of whiskey.

I saw them film a Chevy truck commercial bungee jumping a Chevy off the New River gorge bridge. Funny thing, all the work trucks for the shoot were Fords.

Started the day off with a visit to my doctor.
Excellent results on my lab work.
CHOL / TRIG , HDL, Hgb AIC all within normal parameters.

Then, a trip to the CVS Pharmacy to pick up my prescription, only to find out that I didn't need the "half off" coupon for the VIAGRA because it was FREE !
Don't know why, but I'm not gonna argue.
( My night was probably better than Kipp's, as well. ) *lol*

All kidding aside, I'm glad to hear you came away from that unscathed, Kipp.

I'd prefer the vehicle be totaled after a good wreck. Might not be bad, but it'll never be the same and sh*t may go wrong sooner down the road, after the warranty is out, that would have been fine had you not wrecked.

YMMV

Well, the insurance would be paying you for the one you have... but I understand, brother. Sometimes it don't make financial sense.

Hopefully your truck is fine, gets fixed up right, and you have many years of good use.

Thanks Shawn. I saved up to pay cash for this truck. We've had no debt except our house for 10 years. That's gonna be paid off in 3 years. I really don't want to borrow any money.

We shall see... Just happy to not have been hurt, or worse...
