58 - Trillium Brewing Melcher Street double dry hopped IPA 7.2% abv

These right coast styles are interesting. Unfiltered and juicy. This one tastes like almost as much grapefruit juice as beer and the IBUs are muted but still high.

I'm kinda tired. I think 3 is the magic number.

Hey MACS, guess we're drinking together 50 or so miles down the 15!

74 - Firestone Walker 805
75 - Firestone Walker 805

But as a lightweight "O", two will likely be my magic number. Good night, Senior Chief, get the boys home without too much trouble we can't keep from the Old Man.

I liked this one but pricy IIRC. Bought last year so I don't remember the exact price. Had a unique tang probably from the wildflower honey and a long finish with just a hint of tart wood.

77- Pirate Bomb

Courtesy of Kipp, just opened it but had it in the wine cooler with the reds so it was just slightly chilled and I don't have to wait for it to warm up. Liking this one on first sip. Lots of cocoa and I do taste the chilies on the finish. For a 15% it has none of that heat from the alcohol. Thanks Kipp for letting me try one of these!

you've had more offerings from Trillium than me!
Was supposed to go Thursday night but called off as we expect 6-12 inches of snow...

I'm a fan of everything I have tried even though I still have not acquired a taste for IPAs in general. The friend that sent these to me likes their offerings as much or better than Tree House.
Hope you make it there soon.

over some time I have moved away from IPAs too, except with certain meals, but I also like Trillium so far. I try to find less bitter/maltier offerings.
Tree House has become mythical, almost impossible to get, much like Vermont's The Alchemist Heady Topper.

96 - The Bruery Trade Winds Tripel

Was interesting to see that it had rice and Thai Spice... for a tripel, I enjoyed it and bought more of it. It pours well and gives a good head down to the last pour. It's a summer seasonal yet i prefer Tripels in fall/winter time and this is one that i'll probably continue to purchase and the price is fair for the bomber around $9
