Is there a measure that would best determine whether Trump's Presidency is a success?

First two votes and posts for employment/unemployment.....

Unemployment rate was 10% in 2009...it is below 5% now..... stretch to 'deduce' that cbid members judge Obama presidency to be a success?

I picked "other" inasmuch as no one of the others is comprehensive enough to accurately assess ... each is relevant, but it will be a combination of all of these and more that will have to be used in order to have a real measurement ...

Conservative court appointments, for example, will be a huge factor and there is no mention of them above ... what is important, in my view, is a move away from the liberal trend in all areas ... we've reached the point where some very liberal views are being described as "mainstream" by nitwit outliers like Nancy Pelosi ... a solid trend in the opposite direction will be the measurement I'll be going by ...

Reduce the deficit.
It's tough to remain financially secure when most of our collected taxes need to pay off debt before it can provide services.

Reduce federal employment.
Mostly because it's ripe with repetitive duplication in the redundancy department division.

These two items are like "taking one for the team" because it lacks the fanfare of killing ISIS or showing an increased GDP, etc.
Leave the glamour to the glory boys. Let's make America great again by strengthening our foundation. We do that, and everything will fall into place.

I voted employment/unemployment, but what I am really judging as a success is if the economy/deficit improves.

dstieger, I don't trust unemployment numbers. They're a complete friggin' "guesstimate".

Since the deficit has doubled, and Obamacare has raised insurance rates (don't get me started on forcing me to have health insurance because I can pay for it while giving it free to those who can't)... I consider his presidency an abject failure.

Hopefully he changes the perception that global economy is good for everyone. That we have to hold up the world to our standards that we've built over 200+ years, and pay for them too. Maybe the fact that 20 people have more money than the poorest half of THE WORLD, and pay the least amount taxes, can be changed. I think Trump understands that the American middle class is the worlds bank account via our taxes, and that were disappearing like we are on the endangered species list. I think his success is linked to my success, and hopefully he understands that.

This election was about putting Hilliary in jail, as long as that happens I'll be happy. I don't care if Trump starts WW III which might actually be a good thing depending on exactly where the bombs fall.
