When I was young I had a summer job fishing for salmon in the middle of nowhere Kodiak Alaska... we used nets.

After hauling in thousands of pounds of salmon a day personally , I can tell you fishing with a single line is dumb.

Because it's more difficult, and requires skill and patience.

Two things you'd never learn watching a net haul in salmon for you.

I believe the term you're looking for is inefficient.

If the goal is to acquire fish, then a single line is inefficient.

If the goal is to have a reason to be outside enjoying the day, then it's no different than golf, which you've already labeled as dumb.

Brewha I'll agree on your tunnel analogy. I think the word I used was hopefully as for the bright not so much . I find it hard for someone to not see things the same way I do. Then after a while I remember we dont experience the same things everyday and our environment shapes our view . Even from birth people are taught differnt belief systems from the agnostic to the cult member , then add in socioeconomic conditions , biology, ect . It's a differnt perspective. What we have to think about its seldom that our individual perspective is 100% correct . But in combination we can get pretty darn close to it .

The only way for us to get the best results is to work together . To achieve this we need to have an open mind . We need to realize that we aren't omnipotent. Altho Trump and Obama think they are and their followers are marching lockstep with them .

True enough.

In the end both sides if the aisle what to do what is best. Although there some that are self-serving people, I like to think most are onboard for the common good.

What is worrisome the escalating information wars. More and more I see opinions being passed off for fact. Without a far and unbiased media democracy scarcely has a chance.

Ah, the witch hunt will never end.....

You really think she broke the law.
And the FBI will not ask to have her prosecuted because she "owns them".
And you honestly believe this is a real thing.

But you are good with Trump's skirt the law business deal, bankruptcies and bald face lies.

Geeze - get a life, will ya?

F**king A!

Ask the sailor that is serving time for taking a pic in a classified compartment in a sub. Don't recall seeing anything about intent other than taking a pic which he knew was wrong.

Guess he did nothing wrong just like Hilldog.

Funny that you mention Comey. You must not recall at the end of his briefing on Hilldog, he said something to the affect of don't try this at home because you probably will be prosecuted.

You might want to talk to someone else about that... the guy who loves to argue with everyone, about everything, all the time. Even about trivial stuff people joke about... like fishing and golf. RollEyes

In my house we don't call that arguing.
We call it a conversation.

We're hosting Thanksgiving this year and this reminds me how horrified my wife was at her first family gathering. She honestly thought we'd never be able to go back.
I asked her why not, and she said: Because you were fighting the entire time!

My surprise was based on the fact that I thought the discussions that day were somewhat tame.

You are correct, it is not worth arguing but for the record Comey did state "to be clear this is not to suggest in similar circumstances a person who engages in this type of activity would face no consequences."

So why is Clinton different from anyone else?

He explained why it's a false equivalence and not the same. You just disagree. But it's not worth relitigating. If comey can't convince you I know I can't.

Love or hate the Hill Dog, it seems disingenuous to say her actions didn't deserve legal punishment. Comey was ambiguous at best, in a situation when clarity should have been paramount.

Well that's where we differ.
There's rarely a minute of quiet.
And we just assume a big YES to the sandwich.

Ask the soldier that rewrote psrt of a classified memo and sent it by his private email address to warn 2 other soldiers saving their lives .8 years a ND a dishonorable discharge . And this batch gets to run for president and people defend her . She's a criminal period . The first classified email that hit the server she had set up was the crime , intent is irreverent . Comey didn't say she was innocent . He said no prosecutor would pursue the case . Turn it over to any JAG officer and see how long she's not prosecuted.
