And just like the Iraq war if they break it they'll own it. But I'm sure they will still find a way to blame the Democrats for their failures. fog

I didn't vote for him. And I honestly think he's an idiot. More importantly, his campaign built on fear and xenophobia says lot about who he was trying to attract as supporters.

He willingly and frequently lied to his own supporters, promising things his presidency didn't have the power to accomplish, and providing vague hyperbole rather than specifics.

Make no mistake, he has the house and the Senate now. His supporters should hold his feet to the fire. There is no reason he can't give them everything he promised. No one is there to stand in his way.

I know the US will be fine. This isn't the end of the world. It's a sad reflection on a lot of hate that people seem to have held. But America will be fine. Odds are those most hurt by a Trump presidency will be those who voted for him. I'll be fine. Probably better off.

But I hope he does better than he promised he would. I hope that when actual problems face him he won't treat them the same way he's treated adversity on the campaign trail (poorly and unpresidentially). We will see.

But if things go south, the Republicans have no one to blame but themselves.

I liked the anti Donald Trump ad that quoted him saying " You can tell them to f ♡<# themselves " . I can see a need for that in some of our foreign policy . Domestic policy too.

I didn't vote for him either; but I don't honestly think he's an idiot. I don't think he could have gotten as far in business as he has, if were a fool. I do think that he lost control of his mouth all too often, and even when you're playing the non-politician...well, he should have known how things were going to be construed....even if he generally works from hyperbole.

I worry most about your comment about the hate. I heard some rather scary commentary the past 12 hours along the same lines. I think that there was a good-sized basket of deplorables out there singing his praises, but I also think it is dangerous or stupid to paint the movement/groundswell/Trumpers....etc with such a broad brush. He may have used some trailer rhetoric and low denominator language to get the votes, but I know full well that the vast majority of those that voted for him are NOT turned on by the hatred or antagonistic fear, xenophobia, etc.
Christie aside, he's liable to surround himself with some level-headed quality people.

That's not to say that I don't think he's capable of blowing up a boat or plane of some country that pisses him off...but I think that if cooler heads can prevail for the next few weeks, he'll possibly be a better uniter than a divider

DMV, he literally said to his supporters that he wasn't one of the politicians from Washington who lie to get votes.... while promising hyperbolic and impossible things... it was such cognitive dissonance I practically got a nosebleed.

But, that's that.

The trump supporters aren't all racists. I'm not tail, so I don't generalize wide swathes open our population. Just because you go to the grocery store with the Klan doesn't make you a racist. But you're still getting in a car with a bunch of guys wearing white hoods.

Seriously?

I'm not a supporter of Trump. I just relish in the fact he dismantled the Clinton Crime Syndicate.

As for the rest of your post...stick it sideways. I defy you to find one post where I'm a racist. I wasn't raised that way and won't have it around me either. Nice try, but that dog don't hunt.

The problem victor is that what you and the media and many other liberals call racist, many Americans don't... facebook is flooded right now with people saying trump is a proven racist, sexist, and misogynist... really? Because he recognizes the threats coming from mexico and the middle east?

the statement I've seen many times today, "trump supporters aren't all racists", it's offensive because it implies that many are...

truthfully the same number of racists likely voted for Hillary... remember obama saying it would be personally insulting to him for a black person to vote for trump? That's racism... and I think it's time for the PC crowd to realize it's offensive, it's divisive, and it's indiciative of the greater problem in America...

Then there's that. At first I was like, "Oh, he's goofing on wide swathes of populations..." but you were responding to me. I didn't catch where Trump said racist things. I wasn't following him or what he had to say either. I find it pretty dispicable if he did as he's always gone out of his way to not be racist. He's opened up "doors" for a lot of people and thought he was pretty bold for doing it. Pretty sure he even dated a super model that was black too.

I despise racism. I can take a joke, and usually good about making sure everyone knows I love to deliver them too. Guilty of offending on occasion but that's really the job of a comedian. You have to offend. All the greats did it. ALL OF THEM. What I don't like is hating on someone because of race, creed, color or religion. Just because. I've had many friends from different backgrounds and they're my friends for a reason. Being a freind means you have to be a friend. There is no room for racism on the planet. NONE. We, as a human race will never evolve till we can eradicate it.

My guy got 4%. Nice job, Gary Johnson.

Wonder if Shillary could have used those votes.

Stupidity wins out over Evil. I'll take it.

If you want to see some riveting tv, watch PBS Frontline episode The Choice. Just watch how Obama humiliated Trump at the 2011 correspondents dinner.

That was the match that started the firre.

Obama and the Dems spent all of their capital on gay marriage and letting trans gender people to chit wherever they want. The angry americans have been beat over the head for eight years got their revenge.

Dude... I've been against Obama care since before it was Obama care. You could probably find threads on here where I expressed as much.

Doesn't mean anything in terms of the argument. He lied.. or possibly was unable to deliver. Trump has promised things which don't fit within the realm of reality... things which are rational person knows cannot happen... and his supporters have apparently accepted these promises, while rejecting others.

You guys are both right.
-Trump is suggesting things that can't be a reality.
-Obama did the same when he waived pre-ex conditions and extorted insurance companies to provide $100,000 worth of benefits for $600 in premium.

Its like getting into a high speed car accident and afterwards putting the seat belt on, miraculously reversing the injuries.

That, and "affordable" healthcare are equally impossible.

This pretty well sums up the election of Trump, the Obama crowd and his supporters need to read this. It also wouldn't hurt the Trump supports to read it as well, although Trump has made it clear he wants to be everyones President.

Dear Democrats and Liberals,

I'm noticing that a lot of you aren't graciously accepting the fact that your candidate lost. In fact you seem to be posting even more hateful things about those of us who voted for Trump.

Some of you are apparently "triggered". Because you are posting how "sick" you feel about the results.

How did this happen you ask.

You created "us" when you attacked our freedom of speech.

You created "us" when you attacked our right to bear arms.

You created "us" when you attacked our Christian beliefs.

You created "us" when you constantly referred to us as racists.

You created "us" when you constantly called us xenophobic.

You created "us" when you told us to get on board or get out of the way.

You created "us" when you forced us to buy health care and then financially penalized us for not participating.

You created "us" when you allowed our jobs to continue to leave our country.

You created "us" when you attacked our flag.

You created "us" when you confused women's rights with feminism.

You created "us" when you began to immasculate men.

You created "us" when you decided to make our children soft.

You created "us" when you decided to vote for progressive ideals.

You created "us" when you attacked our way of life.

You created "us" when you decided to let our government get out of control.

"You" created "us" the silent majority.

And we became fed up and we pushed back and spoke up.

And we did it with ballots, not bullets.
