anyone ever tried the in puros veritas stick with the "don't tread on me" band?

http://www.cigarbid.com/...veritas-toro-20-cigars/

i grabbed a mazo of these ~1.5 years ago strictly because of the band but was wondering if anyone has actually smoked one? thought it would be cool to hand out at the range but there is almost no information out there on them. any experience would be appreciated. either way I'm not likely to mess with them until the two year mark or so.

Dont know this one but self promotion writeups are not impressing. I used to find it fun to find a good cheapo cigar. Now I find it hard to stomach buying a $1 cigar for $1 on this site when i can underbid and get a $7 cigar for $3. Or so up until recent. As far as your purchase, If it is a mild cigar with no harsh flavors, you can find a lot of takers among the casual smokers.

my thoughts exactly

if these are rockets i dont want to hand them out as gifts, regardless of how cool the band is

and if they are rockets i dont want to waste my time smoking them at this point in the season as our cigar weather dwindles

thats why i said i wouldnt touch them until next spring at earliest

That was my thought. Generally with cigars the old adage 'you get what you pay for' holds true. I've almost never smoked an inexpensive cigar that was good. I've smoked a few pricey ones that were amazing.
