There are several auction I was going to bid on but I see the exact same person who has the high bid on at least 12 boxes. (I am sure it is a lot more these were just the ones I was considering) (MM of La Porte, IN) is this a real person? because I find this hard to believe it's not someone just driving up auction prices.

these items he is the top bidder on:

Lot #2430053
Lot #2430066
Lot #2430106
Lot #2430209
Lot #2430221
Lot #2430231
Lot #2430886
Lot #2430892
Lot #2430908
Lot #2431006
Lot #2431066
Lot #2430910

I am sure it's quite a bit more, these are just the cigars I like

Crappy smoke shops, eBay, etsy, and Reddit sellers buy stuff here to resell. MM of blah blah is familiar to most bidders.

Nice to meet you too, and please highlight the part where I implied it was Cbid who is running up prices.. And how long have the two of you been dating for you to stomp in and white knight for them Speyside?

One guy over a dozen auctions? I don't think it's unreasonable to ask what's up. If it's a B&M or Ebayer as SD72 implies then now I know. I have dropped about $1,600 here in a fairly short time. I am not saying that is a huge amount, I am saying it's enough I can ask the damn question.. (I'm cool with any mod confirming that to the fanboys who think I am out of line)

But as for the white Knighter who would call someone "deplorable" because he had the audacity to question how one guy is bidding on over a dozen boxes... It may be Mirror Time buddy..

Obviously you haven't met BK from Pennsylvania although MM is giving him a run for his money.

Some years back, when I was a fresh graduate of the D.P. Newell School of Online Cigar Buying, I would routinely, at least for a day or two, or more, have the high bid on 100+ lots, and that was just HERE.
Granted they were lowballls, but it might look funny for a while.
This guy is not the only reseller here btw, there are several, and there will likely be more, depending on what happens with legislation, the sell-offs that will start next year, etc.

All the auction houses have been accused of shill bidders at one time or another................it's just the nature of the beast.

I had forgotten all about the internship work required after graduation... grueling, but worthwhile...

Been a long time, but ya, I've been high bidder on nearly every available single a time or two...

Freebies... gives them out when you buy 5 or more cigars... it's called enticement...

The funny thing about the state Tobacco board, when they come in and search your shop, they look at receipts for everything you have that contains Tobacco...

But they dont care about lighters, ashtrays, things like that... and this is the cheapest place to stock up alot of times.... cheaper than wholesale...

Some shop owners buy actual cigars on here and slowly "refill" their shop stock with them to evade taxes at the state level... kind of a pain in the butt to save a few bucks, but some items - like acids- you can save a few bucks per stick....

Understood, however a lot of these lighters are in the $40-$60 range. That would make quite a nice freebie.......

BK doesn't bid too often on the higher end ones, and when he does, it's a lowballish bid.
Pretty sure he's an eBay reseller.

That's known for sure, but he bids $43 for every Colbri Stealth lighter (which is not a low ball bid)

You must have missed the part where I mentioned how much I've spent. I wanted to know what I was going up against.

A real person?
A kid playing around on the internet?
Someone with no intention of following through?
Someone with a vendetta?

Shana confirmed for me what I needed to know. It's a bummer, He is going over the Chrome plug in on a few of those auctions. and well? there are other options.

Plus there's that guy in Hawaii (NOT Palama). I expect he's the buyer for their ubiquitous "stop and rob" convenience stores that have the small humidors with way overpriced cigars for the tourists.

I'm no keyboard commando. In fact I'm usually a very pleasant person. Many people here love this place and all of us get tired of people coming here to bitch about customer service issues, lately its been running rampant. I reiterate, take you whining somewhere that people care about it.

NO I get it, it’s 2016 and we have been dealing with duds like you for over a decade now. Guys with no real personality so they’ve wrapped their entire identity behind on online persona where they only have to interact with people in a sterile environment that they can pretend to be something they’re not.

Good luck with that, I am glad it’s working out so well for ya.

Now did you have a couple one line zingers sure to impress before I go? Or are you going to need that “internet for dummies” hand book to come up with one?

I’m out, as I mentioned Shana dealt with it and I am cool with her answer. You know, because she did not take it personally when I asked a legitimate question. But then I didn’t threaten her world. She seems completely adjusted to the real one.

Post do count as Real Life acheivements. We send cigars to each other to celebrate. But you wouldn't know that because you're a scrub that wants to cry about 'rigged' auctions. Cbid is legit; I know from the deals I glean off this site.

Only a little bitch like yourself cares about post counts. You think I worry and fret about that? You're a grade A chump. A whining little baby that got caught playing in their own diaper. Own it. It s what you are.

Look at you. You're an absolute mess. A freight train of horse manure colliding with a tanker truck of piss would make less of a mess than you and smell better too!

Thought you were leaving?
