My friend, Anthony, said he would need a good count of who will probably be there at least a week ahead of time.

I'll send out directions to his place once we get a good idea and a little closer.

I'm gonna send him an email today to get a good idea of what's on the menu!

Of course, after living out here and eating chow hall food... every time he and his wife put together a spread, it's like eating at a 5 star restaurant.. to me.

Finally contacted my buddy today...

His replied to some of my questions:

As far as bringing stuff, lessee... I can do all the meats, but if folks wanted to bring along some of their favorite sides, that would be good. I'll have beer, too, but if folks wanted to bring some of their preferred brews, that'd be welcome.

The humidor is doing good!! I'm sure people are going to bring along their favorites. I'll have my pipe!

If it rains, hmmm. I have a large yard gazebo thingie that I can put up. It's reasonably rain-proof.

I've got plenty of juniper wood - smells really sweet when it burns! (I asked him if I should bring pinion for the chiminea.)

He's also going to invite a couple of other local friends.

And beers probably won't be any Bud or Miller or PBR... Beer

Don't know about for y'all.... but time is zipping by for me.... blink, blink, boom... Oct 22!

Oh, and I'll be staying at the Candlewood Suites at Ohio and Legacy. It's a few blocks from his house.

So.. Mikey, coolbreeze, stinger, fenderbender, drafter, some wives, some stragglers (?) and me...

Oh, and I also asked him about the meats:

Chef

Well, see...

The plan will be St Louis pork ribs, a smoked brisket flat, and smoked chicken legs and thighs.

I can easily feed 30-40 people with that.

OK... here we go.

I'll be there on Saturday, October 22, 2016 near Legacy and Preston in Plano, south east quadrant.

I'll send the exact address and contact info when I get the list. Also, my friend will provide pretty much everything. You could bring anything special, like, oh.. some Macallan 18 if you want. ;-) ... and, of course, some cigars.
My friend might not request it, but I'll put up a donation jar to pitch in to.

My buddy Anthony is asking for info on what anyone might be bringing in the way of side dishes, etc.

Lemme know, and I'll pass it along.

Note: It's not a requirement to bring anything.

I"ll probably just bring some beer.

mikey... you wanna vouch for ringsize and send him the info?

I can grab a tub of potato salad and macaroni salad. (I won't be able to make the stuff at home and transport it). I am still contemplating on riding the motorcycle down. It all depends on the weather that weekend.
