Premium 5er says the Pens win the Conference Finals against the Lightning.

Will be a great series to watch!

Anyone want to take that bet?

Go Pens!

The Pens are on a roll. Still winning even without Crosby and Malkin playing their best. They will be a hard out for any of the remaining teams. Not my team but I can see and acknowledge what's going on. fog

Go Bolts! Should be an interesting series, hard to predict not knowing the status of a few key cogs at this point, but hoping that the Lightning can continue to find ways to win.

Too many missing pieces. Maybe they can pull it together, but that may be a bridge too far there.

Tampon Bay is up 1-0 in games.
And I will still take the Pengies for the series.
Anybody want Tampon?
(deadline is 5pm Tampon Bay Time May 16)

Well that sucked! Literally... the Pens really sucked that game. You could tell the Lightning where better rested since they finished their prior series early. The Pens looked tired.

But the Lightning appears to have lost Bishop for the remainder of the season, and will likely lose Callahan on a suspension. Never expected such dirty play from Tampa. They almost looked like the Rangers. Hopefully the Pens can get some rest and take advantage in Game 2.

Never expected to win them all, but would have sure liked to start the series with a win. It's going to be a tight series.

Lewang is no stranger to throwing a dirty hit on occassion. (ahem...last series)
He who giveth, must also expect to receiveth.
5 min major for boarding looked like the right call, unless there was further injury that I don't know about.

Meh...everybody always forgets about the Lightning.

If the Sharks play with their fast paced play...Blues are done too.

Yea I'm no fan of the suspensions except rare occasions
Get the call correct on the ice and move on

Letang was suspended for a lot less of a severe hit. Callhan's hit was purely a head-shot and he gets nothing... no suspension or fine?!?! My bet is that if Letang had not returned to the ice, the recourse by the league would have been different. But it's obvious how the Refs and League want this series to turn out.

Bishop is apparently a huge drama queen, and akin to a boxer with a glass jaw. What a huge wuss he turned out to be! Bolts fans better hope he doesn't stove a finger or break a nail. They may have to call Life Flight.

Go Pens!

A very tense game! Only a few penalties. Refs let a few go on both sides.
But Crosby finally scores, and in the opening 40 seconds of OT!

A HUGE win for the Pens! Applause

Boo..FN...Who...I'm sure the Pens' fans will scream foul if they end up losing this series. Pretty funny you calling out Bishop when the prima donna queen of the league is Crosby. ram27bat

LOL. The Pens don't need Callahan suspended to win. The flu will get him!

t didn't call Bishop a prima donna queen. I called him a big fuqn wuss, and a drama queen.

Don't recall Crosby ever being carted off the ice on a gurney, crying like a little girl over a twisted ankle/stubbed toe.

Bishop should be ashamed to ever step on the ice again. This is hockey! Take it like a man. Walk it off.

Just waking from a halcion nap.

Had a major root canal on one, and had to have a huge crown replaced on another. Started around 8:30a. Procedure took an hour, and I've been asleep since then. Now I'm looking for Percs & brews in preparation for tonight's Pens Game.

Go Pens!

Learned my procedure took 3-1/2hrs??? That halcion really knocked me out! Best I've slept in a LONG time!

Great wins by the Pens!

What are the Bolts going to do about their goalie? Will Bishop return with his sprained ankle?

Will the League continue to let Cynthia Crosby get away with his leg trips and hacks?
Only Gary B knows for sure.

The Bolts showed in the first 2 periods why they are in the Conference Finals. Tough game for the Pens. If the Pens would have played the first 2 periods the way they played the 3rd the outcome would have been a lot different. Tampa continued with it's cheap shots, but penalties on both sides where let go. Appeared like the Refs just let them play in the 3rd, but the majority of the calls throughout the game favored the Bolts. We know where the Refs came from.

Going to be a great Game 5 in Pittsburgh. If the Pens can win at home I think this series is over.

Did you even watch the game? The Bolts repeatedly leg swept a number of players, including Daley who was taken out of the game with a serious injury. Don't recall any Bolts being carried off the ice due to a Crosby or other Pens hit.

Th Bolts have stated clearly that they are going to be physical. So don't cry when you get hit back.

Watching the Lightning reminds me of the Red Wings and what they had to do to win their first Stanley Cup with Yzerman.

Play as a team inside your own position, be physical and shoot it on net often.

I can only guess that Yzerman is spending time with HIS team and sharing the wisdom.

Dios mio mon. I see the Pens and Bolts rolled their way into the Semis.
Lemme tellyu somethin pendejo, if Cindy Crosby try pulling any of his sheet out on the ice, like diving, leg checks, etc, the Bolts will snatch his stick away from him, shove it up his a$$, and pull de trigger until it goes cleek.

U sed it mon, nobody fux wid de Jesus.

The Pens should have won that game. But they became complacent halfway through the 3rd period, flat-footed, and failed to be aggressive on the forcheck and with the puck. It carried over into OT and cost them a HUGE game. We gave it to the Bolts.

Praying for win in game 6.

Game 6 was a real nail-biter. The Bolts where tough & physical, but fortunately the Pens where able to prevail.

Looking forward to a exciting Game 7. To quote Fast Eddie Felson "I feel tight, but good."

Go Pens!

Since Cynthia Crosby is the Chosen One.....the most protected player in the NHL, and Bettman's best hope for tv ratings, the refs will be instructed to tilt the ice in Pens favor, so they will win and advance to the Cup Finals.

U heard it here first.

We're supposed to ignore all the cheap shots by the Bolts that go uncalled.

One analogy sums up the difference between the Pens and Bolts:
Penguins Trevor Daley suffers a broken ankle from a cheap leg-sweep up against the boards by the Bolts, and still skates off the ice with assistance.

Bolts goalie Ben Bishop is bumped into by his own team mate and has to be carted off the ice on a gurney for a sprained ankle.
