Have placed a bid on the Hamilton House Torpedos this morning. Has anyone ever tried these smokes. Are they truly a bargain, or just an overpriced namesake cigar? There are still many available in the Auction category "Specials".

haven't tried one, but they are made in the same factory as tamboril and i really enjoyed the tamborils. i've tried both the sumatra and connecticut wrappers on the tamborils and enjoyed both, so i think these are worth a try.

About 18 months ago, I tried this cigar when they were about $7 a stick. I was impressed with the quality and the flavor. It has become one of my top cigars. At $25-30 a box, it's like stealing. I have acquired 18 boxes in the last month from several closeout sources.
