Beautiful bird Rick. Almost looks like a Rose Breasted. Do they talk? I know it's rare for a Rose Breasted to talk.

Birds are cool. I have about a thousand pet geese in my back yard every fall.

sorry that was for you.

she says, screech a lot. in australia they kill the wild ones. a few are sold in pet stores if they talk. they get about $25.00. they run $1500. here.

of all the birds i have owned, the rose breasted are all a perfect bird. they love to be handeled and stroked. she bit me once when i tried to take her out of a travel cage and she got fightened. the beak won't break skin.

not like toby's grey who likes to sit and **** on my shoulder and watch the monitor and listen to music i have playing and the next time i pick her up, she draws blood.

Rick. Nice looking bird. The cage you have looks just like the one my Amazon Parrot has. I will have to post a pic of my bird & cat! They play together at times. I have a pic of this I'll post it later. Mag

Believe it or not, I have a Parrot that does all of those things plus, plays Peek-a Boo, plays Bang (I shoot him with my finger and he falls over and says, "they got me"), and commands and disciplines my dogs.

When he's bad we remind him that we are eating chicken tonight! LoL

i believe all birds about the size of an amazon or grey fit very nicely in a 2 foot cube. the cage's are always open and some times they exchange cages for the night. gamine and zana the grey tolerate each other. they don't fight and they don't preen each other.

when we had the macaws and the mouluccan, we had to remove the doors and the frames to get the cages in. the birds are all grown and wanted to breed, so they are all in a breeding colony. one of these days i'll do some repairs on the doors.

My Macaw would bark as he imitated the dogs, and said about 40 words! I sure wish I had him now!

My wife and I got to groom a Hyacinth Macaw last week. The largest and most expensive of them all. Just a huge gentle giant. Prices start at about $8,000 and go as high as $15,000. The breeder we work with last sale was to Nicolas Cage. He can afford it.

Nice bird. The wife has a Congo Grey, loves her, bites the sh*t out of me. It has about a 400 word vocabulary, including some I taught him like "I'm a chiken hawk" and "Who's there, let me out, I'm an eagle, fly away".

Gomez is my "Grey" that I've had since 1984. He can damn near hold a conversation with you. One time I came downstairs at 2AM because I heard someone breaking a rack on my pool table. Nope, it was Gomez. The range of sounds he can mimic is incredible. In the early years he drew my blood many times. He's pretty tame now.
According to some books I have Gallah's can talk but usually not too well. They're known for their ability to do tricks and to perform complex tasks. Isn't it amazing how a creature with a head smaller than a golf ball can be so smart?
